NEVER have your table saw blade that fully extended on shallow material! ALWAYS - ALWAYS - ALWAYS - lower the blade to where it is only protruding approximately 3/8 of an inch through your material (in this case, 3/8" past the highest point of the panels uneven surface). Doing this will minimize the chance of your blade "kicking back" the material. This goes for skill saws as well. :)

Just high enough to cut the material, at 3/8s you can still lose a finger.

Funny you mentioned that, it was my first thought when I saw that.

What color Genstone is used in this video? Is that the Desert Sunrise?

Wow, I'm thankful for this video. After seeing the product installed up close, it looks terrible. It's literally all over the place and you can see every section and seem. I'm disappointed. Sigh I'll have to find another solution.

Question: I’d like to install one of your faux brick patterns in a butler’s pantry (floor to ceiling). I assume that my stud-finder would work “through” (on top of) the faux brick panels. Can kitchen cabinets be installed after the faux brick is installed? Is that the recommended process? THANKS!
@GenStoneVideo2 жыл бұрын
Can you install the brick right up to the bottom of the cabinets? Yes, you can install over the brick as long as your fasteners will reach the studs behind our panels. The panels are only 1.25 inches thick, so that shouldn't be an issue, but if you can avoid installing the cabinets over the panels, you would save on unseen material. Feel free to give us a call if you need more help.

How much does it cost to pay for installation?

How about ditching the damn music. It's a distraction when the installers are trying to tell us the process. Especially for older people. Ditch the music.

Can these be placed behind a woodstove as an accent wall? Can it withstand the heat?
@GenStoneVideo2 жыл бұрын
Yes that's a common project as long as you follow this rule of thumb: if you can place your hand on the surface where you plan to install GenStone while the unit is running and no flames or embers will contact the panels, you should be good to go! Feel free to give us a call if you have any other questions.

I find it odd that they don't "finish" the walls.. as they sign off, you can see all the screw heads, etc.. They should show the finished product so we can see how the caulk and paint look.. disappointing.

How many panels came in that main box? 4 or 8?
@GenStoneVideo2 жыл бұрын
Hi Rick, all of our panels are sold individually. You may receive up to 8 in one box.

Kindly, May someone help me get the right people to contact regarding this product Genstone( Manufactured genstone) Please. Thanks.

They don't show you how to smooth off the top layer. Say you want three panels. How do you make the top where they use screws to look like it blends. They don't show you how or talk about it in the video. They do show it completed but not how to do it. A red flag if you ask me.
