Thank you so much! I will watch it several times to remember all techniques you’ve used.

I found your lecture and utilized it in my HW (an observation of an English lecture). How lucky I was that I had come accross this recording! I really liked your time management, the range of activities and your friendly attitude. Your students must love you. Take care.

Great job Ross! I enjoyed watching the class. Could you very kindly please tell me what language school this class is in? I'm a Londoner planning to teach in China in September and I am very keen to find a good school where I can teach adults but finding one isn't too easy.

Is this a corporate group? Or do you have the same group every week? These students seem unusually familiar with each other to me. Also not a critique, just a concern about myself, do you think you echo student responses too much in your classes?
@rossthorburn7676 жыл бұрын
Hi Phil - it was the first time I'd taught them, but they are a semi-fixed group at a private language school. Interesting question about the echoing - when did you think it had a negative effect on the learners/learning?
@squirlmy5 жыл бұрын
@@rossthorburn767 Dude, how ironic that the guy who's "concerned" about echoing never responds to you. My conclusion: don't bother with someone who doesn't care enough to respond. I'm not a certified or professional teacher yet, but I think your pretty much on point with your echoes. Maybe Phil is trying to figure out why you succeed where he fails.

Great lesson ! But you dont look confident during the initial phase of the class maybe you should work on your posture a bit ?

Hello! What country was this in? What was the focus of the class? How many students did you have?
@rossthorburn7675 жыл бұрын
Hi Hannah. It was in Shanghai, China. The focus was giving advice. Students are right intermediate level. I think there are about twelve students in the class
@rossthorburn7675 жыл бұрын
@Hannah Grace Hanson Hi Hannah, it was a one-off class, really for the purpose of filming it. All of the students were also taking classes at a language school in Shanghai, mainly focused on listening and speaking. No detailed analysis of learner needs or anything I'm afraid!
@hannahhanson80465 жыл бұрын
@@rossthorburn767 Gotcha! Thank you for the feedback. Did you provide any resources for them outside the classroom?
@rossthorburn7675 жыл бұрын
Hi again @@hannahhanson8046 - no, nothing like that I'm afraid. Just this one-off lesson.
