Thank you so much for giving us well structured lessons on the verbs that can be both dinamic and stative. I've been able to speak English confidently, fluently, and naturally since I had taken your EEAH. You rock!

It's realy weird that there are not so many of these comparisons on the Internet. I tried to google up some pictures to demonstate to my student that there are just a few verbs which can be both active and stative, and the best picture I found was a thumbnail to this video )))

You was talking in the lesson #13 that we don’t use the verb “Have” with ING. So I think in “He is having a nap” it’s a little mistake for you? Maybe it’s better “he gets a nap” what doy think?

Normally is true, you cannot use continuous form of 'have' (I have a new car, I have a headache). However we can use the continuous form (I am having etc.) with or in the following expressions: to have breakfast/dinner, a cup of coffee etc, to have a bath/shower/swim/break/rest/party/holiday, to have an accident/experience, to have a look (at sg), to have a dream/conversation/chat/discussion (with sy), to have a trouble/difficulty/fun/good time and finally to have a baby (give a birth to a baby).

Dear Alex, "have" is not a state verb here. It is just like other action verbs: have a nap=sleep, so can say having a nap or sleeping. Or u can say, I am having breakfast, because it is the same as sayin ı am eating breakfast. If have = possess, then, u dnt use with - ing: I have a Sister.
