Hi, fantastic "how to" for beginner of Autocad 2025 on Mac (like myself) However, I have 1 question and 1 suggestion/opinion about the actual house design. 1: The question: what is the reason for creating that deep indent (caved in)entrance. It looks kind of "weird" I can only assume that late in the afternoon in most days it'll be too shady. 2: I know that the scope of the video is to teach some Autocad skills and the actual house design is not relevant but I'd like to ask why the toilet door is facing the kitchen area ???. Being in close proximity where the food gets prepared and "It has to smell really nice" of food to make it more appealing but when the toilet gets used (for a number 2 job) the odor from the toilet use combined with the food just wouldn't agree with each other don't you think? If anything the door would always be placed in the common hall/entrance area and never facing the kitchen (I don't think) . Tnx.

Going to answer this in order: 1. I've seen this done many times and I see it actually quite frequently in my area, mostly in a specific higher-end neighborhood. In fact, I lived, as well as worked on, houses with such an indent myself. 2. Simple, when I was planning the video I forgot to add a washroom and I had to improvise and that's the only real place I could "easily" fit it in on the fly based on my preliminary work. I will say though, I have seen bathrooms directly in the kitchen in more than 1 design and while it isn't super common, it does happen on the occasion. Just need to make sure the ventilation is 10/10 lol. Hope this helped!

@@VerweyDraftingInc Tnx. for the "swift" reply. Yes it does help. And yes your Autocad videos are much appreciated. I've learned quite a bit from them even though I only purely use it as a hobby not professionally as my profession is in the electrical industry (so...a diferent matter). I always liked to create/study and sometimes mess with some already created floor plans (made by some architects) and my aim is to study the 3D part of Autocad. Many years ago I played with REVIT but mainly to create modern looking stairs an perhaps some spiral ones but again, pure hobby, nothing pro. 👍👍👍

@@ovi_4 Glad it helps! I appreciate the honesty and learning something such as this is a good hobby. We hope to make more videos on 3D, but we'll probably use Revit and AutoCAD Architecture as those programs are much easier to use for our purposes compared to standard AutoCAD. AutoCADs 3D tools can be an absolute mess sometimes and its near impossible to draw a 3D structure in the program in a timely fashion.
