Thank you! When there are many Alankars to practice, Its important to segregate a few Alankars that we need to concentrate more in routine practice. It will be great if U can make a video listing the most essential alankars for routine practice(maybe tricky what to choose :-) ). To keep the video short U can list those with a minimal demo. We, beginners, face this constant confusion (in absence of a Guru) as what to practice, which alankar to practice.

Is it advisable to keep the fingers away from the holes (the way you do) or as many advise to keep it close to holes so that they can return on the right time?

You should practice keepping the fingers as much away as possible as it helps in stretching them. Also it prevents air obstruction and helps in producing more clear sound. We were advised to practice this way ☺️
