pronunciation of regular -ED verb endings
There are 3 rules. Let's start with the one that can be memorized easily BUT IS NOT THE MOST WIDELY USED. If the word ends in a t or d sound, the pronunciation is the extra syllable -id.

If the word ends in a voiced sound (You can memorized these sounds but if might be easier to notice that with your hand you can feel your throat vibrate), the pronunciation
is -d.
