1. stop trying to scale up too soon 2. understand market conditions and focus on keeping money when things aren't working 3. review trades and understand triggers for going on tilt 4. stop focusing on the p/l, focus on the progress man, you nailed it. where were you 6 months ago? lol

Relate with everything your saying. I lost my job as a plumber. could get reemployed, however my passion in creating music has led me to realize you can do anything you want to do. Most important thing is looking yourself in the mirror. Learn from your mistakes. Profitability is accuracy in good trades. F.O.M.O is #1 next to Reactive trading. For example, buying a stock in a hurry not a hustle because you see a large green candle on a chart you like, however the history of the stock would of told you this "equity" is choppy (slow) in making its way up to resistance. Always important to look back on your day and see how you though through it, look back on impulses and see how they would of worked out and why you wanted to make that trade or why it was/wasn't a good idea. Thank you for the video

Lovely video. He understands very well the problems us intermediate traders face and is good at pointing out the things we should be focusing on to help us improve and move forward 🙏

Most skills are difficult because they require doing lots of small _simple things_ at the same time correctly. Trading is the exact opposite. It becomes EASY once you understand how to do lots of small _complex things_ correctly.

Thanks Mark! I love this video! I would consider myself as an intermediate trader - have been trading for a year now and am feeling and experiencing the things you have mentioned. Thanks Mark for making this video.

Regarding position size, I've had to ask myself many times, "If it isn't working with small positions, what makes you think it will work with larger positions?" It's like having relationship problems with your girlfriend and thinking getting married will solve the problems. This is why I always trade 2%. If the strategy works consistently, I risk more, and if it's a losing strategy, I risk less. This way you don't have to worry about position size. Worry about trading successfully and the size still take care of itself.

Thank you! I am 'guilty' of #1. But so far only in my mind. I just increased my small risk a month ago and had a good month and was thinking about doing it again. Now I am going to wait another month or two.

Thank you Mark, I´m in that phase of trading, I felt identified with the intermidiate trader, I just can´t get profitable yet, I am ossilating between a little profitable and a little loss, My strategy seems fine and so does my risk management, but the trades just don´t go on my favor.

Same majority green months but still nothing to show for Was mean to increase size soon But after watching this video i hold on for bit longer to iron my discipline and process. Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.

What are your thoughts on trading one vs multiple entities (oil, s&p etc) as a beginner / intermediate? When should you think about expanding your portfolio? Thanks
@elmofpv27363 жыл бұрын
I would say as soon as possible as long as you can handle the risk. You're going to be wrong maybe not but you will adapt. The beast of the game lol good luck
