What a huge breakthrough in design I'm getting one of these. Super lightweight can hike it in and it's super efficient for fine gold
@janjohannessmith703311 ай бұрын
Plus it weighs 1 lb and you can hear the birds and the running water and the beauty of nature. Now the dredge has its advantages it needs gasoline it's noisy and is heavy to carry

I agree John. Thank you Bud!

I saw Dig Daddy using one of these awhile back. I'm not in the market for another 6" sluice. I have a nice 6X24 Dream Mat sluice that I've never used yet, and one that I won from you guys, and then won another from Vendetta a couple weeks ago. The one I originally bought will never be used by me, I'll give it to a nephew or friend or a giveaway, the one I won from you guys will be the one I use because it means something special to me. The one I got from Vendetta will get used but it came with stickers from all my favorite prospectors, so it is more sentimental treasure. I'm looking to get a nice 6" header box for the one I got from you though. Now, as far as that sluice there are things I definitely like about it. At first glance I thought it looked too short, but at 22" it's still okay, I really don't like anything shorter than 24" but I've never tried 22". And that statement is based on older knowledge and mats from days gone by. But with the new matting people are making it changes that game a little. I like the sturdiness of that sluice, seems light weight, but I'll add I've never met a heavy 6" sluice. The size is indicative of most of the sluices out there, it's a 6 inch box that is X amount long. So, it comes down to the matting and other advantages. In many cases, there is no real "advantage" to one sluice over another unless restricted by water flow or type of material, just preference. But this does have the advantage of being expandable, which I always recommend whether there's a need for it or not. I like the longer sluice, and I know you guys do too. It's not about getting the gold, for me it's about making so it would be stupid not to believe I got it all. The price is good. Easily comparable to any sluice on the market. Too bad about the water level, but you made it work.

Without a doubt WheezinGeezer, you’ve got it going on with you’re current box configuration. If I come across a header box for your sluice I’ll shoot you an email. Hope you’re doing well brother. Sorry for the late response. I’ve been swamped at work lately. I help my dad run a family business and haven’t had time to keep up with everyone. Hope you had a merry Christmas and have a happy New Year!

How does that thermoform compare to the adventure sluice? Like it better?
@InternalCompassofNC11 ай бұрын
Both are great but you can run a lot more volume through the Thermoform at a faster rate. Thank you Sasquatch!!

Curious where you got your yabby pump from? Also, that plastic classifier is very cool. I like how light it is for backpacking.

How does this work in faster water ?, I have ordered 2 lol , how small is the material your running if you don’t mind me asking. Thanks Scottish 🤦♂️😂, we have a lot of hematite and loads of crushed quarts like sand where we are in rivers. Thanks again 👍

Dream mat honestly prefers fast water. I struggled in this video to get enough water flow to run it properly! Good Luck
@coreymerrill32574 ай бұрын
Silly as it sounds, if you dam up the area real well around your box and push a few really big rocks into the middle of the pool you are sluicing off of, it will raise the water level.
@InternalCompassofNC29 күн бұрын
Thank you for that.

Crazy the lastest flood smoothed everything back out. Not big holes or evidence of prospecting besides what i left the other day. Mayne some new gold to get! That creek just keeps on givong dont it 🤪
@InternalCompassofNC10 ай бұрын
I should do a video covering the impact of dredging and just how fast Mother Nature reclaims the creek.
