Hadn't it been for the English translator's painstaking labour of love, I wouldn't have discovered the tomb of the rich vocabulary of language, its sound, cadence, the pathos and the elegiac tribute to life. Geetanjali Shree has become the Writer without Borders, the face of Illuminant Maha Bharat. The rumination and contemplation on the mound of remembrance of things past of our collective consciousness, especially the theme of redemption, resurgence from the abyss of depression, friendship and overarching gander at what lies beyond, above, under, around rather then the mental cartography drawn to scale. I've both the Hindi and the English fare, my time old Bhargava's I hope would serve me in savouring this literary delight.
