Great video. We are flying to Atlanta from Chicago on Friday night and then to Cancun on Saturday morning. Looks like we won't need the shuttle to the international terminal. Is that correct?

Correct. Since your first leg of your trip (Atlanta to Chicago) is a domestic route, you will be able to check in at the Domestic Terminal.

Thanks for your video. I’d like to know if this sounds correct. We’re flying into Atlanta on Swest from NYC, picking up luggage, then taking bags via the Skytrain to the International terminal to Delta check in (bag drop off) for flight to Europe, then through TSA to our gate. Does that sound correct considering our flights are on different carriers? Thanks in advance.

It’s ALMOST correct. The SkyTrain doesn’t go to the international terminal. You will have to take the International Connector Shuttle as seen in this video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3ecgZyfZpalmtUsi=RfG_jE1hWHy3LP_k BUT, there is an alternative to going to the international terminal to check in with Delta. Often Delta will allow you to check in for international flights at the domestic terminal. If they will allow this, you could just pickup your luggage from your Southwest flight and then walk to the Delta counters to check in and drop them off. Delta has allowed me in the past to check in for their international flights at the domestic terminal but just to be sure I would either call or do an online chat with Delta’s customer service and just ask if you can check in & drop your bags for you international flight at Delta’s domestic counters. If Delta allows you to do this it could save a lot of time in waiting for and riding the free International Connector Shuttle.

Hi. I haven’t flown in decades. So, if I fly straight from Atlanta to Germany, Then my ride needs to go to international parking hourly, and then I will go straight to terminal F for bag check, TSA, and everything right? Thanks in advance.

@@bozy106Thanks so much! Another question: So, I don’t know yet, but will I still go to International check-in even if I have a domestic layover between Atlanta and Germany? Thanks again in advance. Also, are family members allowed through TSA and able to accompany me to Concourse F and to my gate until it’s time for me to board plane? Thank you.

@@jamsista7 if you have a domestic layover between ATL and Germany you will likely need to go to the domestic terminal. Now if it’s Delta that you are flying on you can go to either, however if it’s American or United or another predominantly American domestic carrier you’ll go to the domestic terminal. Delta is the only airline with check in facilities at both terminals.

@@jamsista7 unfortunately no. That hasn’t been allowed since following the terrorist attacks of 9/11/2001.

I will have a connection in Atlanta do i need to pick up my luggage and do the rechecking again domestic to international?

If the trip is all booked on the same reservation you typically won't have to re-claim and then re-check your bags. Just to be sure when you first drop your bags off, just as the agent if your bags will be "checked-through" to your final destination.

@@familyisland9600 I’m sure you’ll do fine. Although ATL is the busiest airport it is also straightforward and simple. I have a video on ATL connections showing how quick and easy it is-check it out. I hope you have a great trip!

Can Turkish Airline counter be found in North terminal? and is it easy to access, I could see all the other airlines except this one.

Some of check in counters can be easily Reconfigured. I actually saw the tall Turkish Airlines signs that the put out on the floor sitting in a corner next to the WestJet checkin counter. You can see some of the other airlines signs that aren’t being used at 4:59 in the corner of the building. I’m sure they roll them out and use one of the nearby counters a few hours before a Turkish Airlines flight begins boarding.

Where is d british airways counters and which concourse does it ply from?

It will fly from concourse f and the check in situation is the same as Turkish airlines. They will use a repurpose a counter in the International terminal shortly before its check in period.
