International Conference | NCOC

North Caspian Operating Company N.V. (NCOC), the Operator of the North Caspian Project, held the International Conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the offshore operations commencement in the North Caspian Sea.
Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Zhurebekov, Vice-Minister of Energy Alibek Zhamauov, Vice-Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Galidulla Azidullin, deputy akim of Atyrau region Marat Murziyev, representatives of NCOC management, Partner companies, industrial sector and oil & gas industry veterans participated in the event. In addition, leading experts from Russia and Azerbaijan participated in the conference.
NCOC held this international conference to honor the anniversary of the offshore operations commencement in the North Caspian Sea. Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Zhurebekov, Vice-Minister of Energy Alibek Zhamauov, Vice-Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Galidulla Azidullin addressed the participants of the conference with the welcoming speech. Speakers noted how important was to start offshore oil and gas operations in the North Caspian Sea, which attracted foreign investment, new technologies, and world experience in the development of the most complex offshore fields to Kazakhstan.
The conference continued with NCOC Managing Director Olivier Lazare and the Company Directors narrating the history of the North Caspian Project, which began in 1993, focusing on various topics, including early stages of the Project, its overview and milestones.
While giving his speech at the сonference, NCOC Deputy Managing Director Yerlan Mukay noted the importance of social projects in Atyrau and Mangystau Oblasts. His speech elaborated on the importance of implementing these projects to support the local community and provided evidence of the progress secured through joint efforts and investments in the regions.
At the end of the event, the consortium employees who made a significant contribution to the development of the project and the veterans were awarded with Soltystik Caspiy Zhobassyndagy Eren Enbegi Ushin medals, diplomas and recognition letters.
