👩‍🔬For decades, women have excelled in science, but they are still underrepresented. Especially in higher positions, they land far too rarely and we still have a big payment gap. Even today, combining their academic #career and #family life is an obstacle that is hard to overcome for many women.
🏆If we look at the statistics of the Nobel Prizes, we see that only 6.7 percent of all awards given since 1901 have gone to women. An unglamorous statistic.
🌠That’s why on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we asked our young #female researchers Mara Mitsdorfer, Grace Mayuni, Anais Choffart, Sylwia Anna Stefanczyk and Marta Vuozzo what they would like to see for women in science in the future.
