Great tie in to WWII history! You’re making a good bookseller too. Had to get a copy of Sister Clara’s Letters awhile back and now just purchased this book! Thanks Chad!

International Trucks were popular in Australia. IH had an assembly plant in Dandenong, Victoria.

Greetings from NZ. Came across this by accident. There were quite a few Internationals down here years ago and I saw them as a kid ( where have they all gone) but Ford was my thing (Cars and trucks) and still is. They always had my respect as "serious heavy duty stuff", though. This has piqued my interest to find out a bit more about these heavy vehicles. The way you told the story really grabbed my attention. I remember in the 1970's / 80's seeing a lot of newer International ACCO trucks on heavy haulage / earthworks duty, these I believe were Australian produced with their local bodies. Now subscribed.

Hey from won world War II history not to another one here's something very interesting. It's definitely automotive-related! And two black eyes 👀 4r country . I'm not sure if GM retain ownership all the way through world War II of the German factories. I know Henry Ford did! So Ford was producing cars trucks and maybe other items too. All for the Nazis. So why are military fighting men were dying at least they could depend on Henry Ford trucks and cars to get more enemy to the front to shoot at them. What makes worse at the end of world War II Henry Ford got one big checks. See if we blew up some of his factories over there. So we paid him for the factories. The same factories at the Germans were benefiting from. So the United States of America the government paid hey hey hey hey hey the Ford company and GM company for the German factories that we bombed. Now Ford made no bones about it. They said that they had to retain some control because if they didn't the Nazis were taken factories. Of course in about 1938 German government gave a fantastic award to Henry Ford for his superb support of the German government! It was the highest award a foreigner could earn at that time in the country of Germany. It's easy to research and see the pictures. The biggest way that he supports them was that his auntijew. Used lock step in agreement with Adolf Hitler on getting rid of the Jewish problem as they call it back then! So there is some American automotive History that they don't want you to remember.
