@TomedysTrains6 жыл бұрын
Nowadays it would for sure.
@BattleshipOrion6 жыл бұрын
TomedysTrains not always that rare even in the ol' BN days where you.had mostly green if you got a rare one that was 2-3 macs in executive sceme
@TomedysTrains6 жыл бұрын
I said nowadays (in the 2010s). I wasn't referring to the Burlington Northern era.
@TriStateRailfan7 жыл бұрын
Hint for the American one. Those aren't always used on BNSF trains. They are usually orange with black letters. And those are like special units (heritage Units). And the horn pattern is LONG, LONG, SHORT, LONG
@TomedysTrains7 жыл бұрын
That consist was from the scenario "Return of the Mac" on Cajon Pass in the SD70 Volume 2 DLC. I also did use the railroad crossing whistle signal of two longs a short and a long for that train in this video.
@TriStateRailfan7 жыл бұрын
Yes but IRL BNSF never uses that much of those macs. They mainly use the orange. Sometimes they use those. But not for every engine :) And I heard. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGGGGGG. not being mean
@TomedysTrains7 жыл бұрын
Oh you mean for the last long? Well, in that case, since I had the camera in one place not moving, I had to do guess work on where the train was when I was sounding the horn. So that's why the last long blast is longer than the first two long blasts. I do wish my estimations were more accurate on the timing of it, but I did try the railroad crossing whistle signal in that scene and held the last blast until the train reached the road.
@TriStateRailfan7 жыл бұрын
We don't do that. If they go fast they usually release the horn before reaching the xing. If they have to restart the sequence they will :))
@northernindianarailmedia866 жыл бұрын
Bnsf usually uses their “Executive macs” on locals but they are sometimes used as DPUs and in the most rare cases on big main line trains.

That American train was WAY too short. There was enough power in that consist for five of those trains. Usually when you see a freight train cross over here, you spend a lot of time staring at your watch and looking to the vanishing point to try and see when the train is going to end. With as much power as that train had hooked to it, passing should've been near a minute.

Thank you for your comment! Out of curiosity, which British scene and how?
@blokeyos47338 жыл бұрын
Ok, i get really realistic with complains but you dont NEED to follow them :P Scene 1: 1.That class 55(deltic) should be in br blue, pulling blue coaches, if it were green, it would be pulling crimson and cream coaches, like the next train would.(that would be far behind the actual timeline) 2.First class coaches are mostly at the start of a train, and there is no brake coach 3.The flying scotsman is in the wrong timeline fella, id like to see you but you would be in 1953?(blue coaches were around 1960?) Scene 2: Nothing :D I liked it Scene 3: Liked it aswell, nothing like some american action! Scene 4:I have no german knowledge in trains, so i liked it.
@TomedysTrains8 жыл бұрын
Oh I see. It was scene 1 you were referring to. Well, I actually had nothing to do with the consists of the trains in any of these scenes. That was actually a scene from one of the scenarios included with the LNER green & BR green Flying Scotsman DLC. The route where that scene takes place is the Newcastle to York section of the East Coast Mainline, which is set in the 1970s, which is why the title says "England in the 1970s." Also, Flying Scotsman did run in England during the 1970s once it came back from its tour in North America. Thank you for taking the time to explain about what British railroading was like in the BR days.
