International Scout 800 Rear Fender Removal

How could you tell where the spot welds were along the top rail of the fender ? There’s no way to get under there and pry.

When the factory spot welded the panels together, the end result is not perfectly flat. It will appear through the paint as a small circular spot about the size of a pencil eraser. Some can be hard to find for sure but after you cut out most of them, the outer fender should start to separate from the inner fender. That’s gap is what your looking for to begin prying.

I live in New Hampshire. We don't need to remove our Scout panel's, they just fall off on their own. 🤷‍♂️

What did you do next to get rid of the rust and seal it up?

Nothing. That scout I bought for parts. It was a right hand drive Scout, previously a mail truck. I have other mods I have been doing to my Scout and haven't gotten to replacing these panels, among other set backs.
