I’m all for online competition but these type in my opinion are not good for the welfare of the shrimp . Totally stressed out and multiple deaths that would have been avoided if they weren’t moved to a competition

Yes the org will need to make sure the water is very good and mature while the breeder or hobbyist need to prepare them well prior to bagging. like de-veining etc then the shrimp will be fine. Also not to 'overly' pamper the shrimps so that during journey like this they are all ok. I can't speak for others but from that first video on shrimp comp, the method we use and the outcome so far that all the shrimps are alive and well and in the tanks of breeders already. so that helps solidify that the process is important and if we follow it well , the probability of dead shrimp is very low. only if the breeder bothers about it.
