The 'Olympics of Motorcycling', as it is known, takes place once a year as a supreme test of men and motorcycles over 1,200 miles of tortuous, mainly off-road routes. A colourful and exciting sporting occasion which is unique in so many ways. Countries represented range from Poland to Mexico, with Sweden. E Germany and Italy amongst the favourites. You also see individual battles waged right down the 380-strong field as well as the rivalry of different manufacturers. Above all each rider must beat the terrain! GRT memories..I used to go and watch enduro in Wales during the mid/ late 80s by a bloke who rode a xr600 he was a big bloke...by the time I was old enough to start enduro the bloke who took me died in a freak accident we'd been talking about getting me a bike fixing it up starting hare n hounds then enduro.....R.I.P......russell foulkes GRT bloke still miss him...

very cool I'm gonna download this with my next check. I had a 1983 dt125 yamaha man that bike would rip on the trail I could take alot bigger bikes on the trails but it topped out about 90kmh on straits. I miss that bike I'd like to put the 83 dt400 moter in the 83 dt125 frame and give the Enduro classic race a try.

How do you get a job with NPR? You start off by calling European Motocross, Enduro etc. ca. 1972. I wonder if there's a video of this announcer saying "And after the race is over the riders will all have a drink and some schweddy balls".
