Long ago, 1968±I ran a TD25 on a flood control dam project. Was a decent machine. I don't remember if the decelerator pedal was used when changing directions or not on the IH. I know that was not the practice on the CATs. My Dad had picked it up at auction because we were running behind on clearing the site of trees and limestone. We had 2 D8s & a D9 on site.

146 horsepower and around 18 tonne or just under set up like that. Although that has later inline pump than the earlier rotary so may have a little more hp. The c series inter were good at getting power to ground- exceptional balance and Rockford torque converter, that was I.hs real dozer secret. When you go from one of these to another brand even later models you really notice how well designed ih were

Great operator! We had a 15c that had been retrofitted with an 8.3 cummins. It was a great machine. It was easily one of the most stable older machines on a side slope.

He be a hard man on the transmission, the operators manual clearly states , decelerate engine and stop tractor before changing direction of travel. All IH dozers were the same.

Hi I use to own a priestman 220 many years ago It was not at all bad to operate it had a straight 6 ford engine in it she had a good bit of power I don't no if the pressure was set to high as it use to blow alot of hydraulic pipes and even split a ram once happy days

till they have to fix that transmission after slamming from reverse to forward didnt even stop and slamed in forward and reverse when still rolling
