Sir here we are preparing for JRF and not only assistant professor. So we need to be known everything about theories and not only basic even in the revision. Here you didn't explain that comparative cost advantage based trade does not exist when opportunity cost of producing a good for both countries are same and so that two countries cannot get into trade. And, Hecksher-Ohlin theory is considered as modern theory of international trade, in UGC NET/JRF question papers- recent and previous ones. So if we're guided that it's traditional theory, then we'll loose our 2 marks.
@AnujJindal3 жыл бұрын
There is a limit to what can be taught in a live session considering the time constraints and retention of students, detailed discussions are done in the paid course, Also HO theory is a traditional theory based on its timing of occurrence, not everything which UGC provides in its answer key is correct.

In comparative advantage, you mentioned that england has comparative advantage but shouldnt portugal have comparative advantage as above the table you have mentioned that 'Hours of work necessary to produce one unit' - So England is taking 100 hours in producing cloth while portugal is taking only 80 hours to produce one unit.
@prashantverma76322 жыл бұрын
My doubt is same.

When England has to spend 100 hr for 1 unit cloth and 120 hr on 1 unit wine. Why would England waste 20 hr making wine.??
