International Women’s Day 2024: Dream Again | Fundación Adecco

On International Women’s Day, Fundación Adecco wants to give visibility to women at risk of exclusion in Spain. In order to raise awareness and achieve the commitment of the business sector, governments and society, we are releasing a video with the title of Dream Again, whose leading character is Ariana, an older women who is fighting against unemployment and social exclusion after a life of caring for her children and mother. Her situation gives a voice to the testimonials of the women who come to Fundación Adecco every day seeking career guidance. This support will be enhanced during Women’s Week through workshops, mentoring interviews and empowerment seminars.

Now, what do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be an astronaut, so I can travel to the stars.
And what about your children? Are you going to take them with you?
Children? Bah!
I’m going to have two dogs, Pipo and Laika. They’ll both be coming with me. And what are you going to do to get to the Moon?
To reach the Moon…
For one thing, don’t give up your studies to have three children while you’re so young. Because you’ll end up raising them by yourself. Never let anyone tell you whether you should or shouldn’t work. You’ll have to be very strong… to be able to deal with mum’s illness and being jobless again. But don't forget the most important thing of all: surround yourself with people who can help you become reunited with your dreams.
