Is there any difference in speed and latency between 1 meter of CAT 6 High Speed Ethernet cable and 30 meters? What is you would like to cable connect your laptop or computer but the router is far away, would it be okay or should you just use the Wi-Fi?
In this video, we'll compare side-by-side the two High Speed Ethernet cables CAT 6 of different length to determine whether it's worth connecting you device to the router via a long Ethernet cable or not. We'll do 7 test runs for each type of cable and compare the results.
Hope you find this helpful!

Thanks for testing 7 times. Just a suggestion: next time use t test (statistics) to compare the data, in this case t test would probably determine that there is no significant difference between these two cables.

You're welcome, thanks for the feedback. 100m would be a very long cable, though I don't think it would make any significant difference.

i connect a cable cat6 for about 15 or 20 mts, but dosnt reach de 400mbps from muy internet, the 90° degress , maybe that was the fail? or interfirenc for other devices afect the speed?, great video and thanks

Hi, when dealing with Ethernet cables, several factors can affect the network speed. Here are some potential issues and solutions based on your description: Cable Quality: Ensure that you are using a genuine Cat6 cable. Poor quality cables might not support higher speeds. Length: Although Cat6 cables can theoretically support up to 100 meters at 1 Gbps, longer cables can experience signal degradation, especially if the quality is not up to standard. However, 15 to 20 meters should generally be fine if the cable is of good quality. 90-Degree Bends: Bending Ethernet cables at sharp 90-degree angles can cause physical damage to the internal wiring, leading to signal loss or interference. Try to minimize sharp bends and instead use gentle curves. Electromagnetic Interference (EMI): Devices like microwaves, cordless phones, and other electronic devices can cause EMI, which can disrupt the signal in Ethernet cables. Ensure that your Ethernet cable is not running parallel and close to power cables or other electronic devices for long distances. Connectors and Jacks: Ensure that all connectors and jacks are securely connected and of high quality. Faulty connectors can significantly reduce speed. Networking Equipment: Verify that your router, switches, and network interface cards are capable of handling the desired speed and are configured correctly. Hope this will help and thanks for your feedback.

i have broken clip on my ethernet will it effect i bought two new ethernet cables off ebay 1 for my pc and one for my xbox
@PulsarTECH
@PulsarTECH 4 ай бұрын
The clip itself won't affect the speed, but if the connection is loose, the internet might disconnect. Therefore, it's better to use a solid plug.

Difference between utp and rj?
@PulsarTECH
@PulsarTECH Ай бұрын
Hi, Key Differences Nature: UTP: Refers to the type of cable (the medium through which data is transmitted). RJ: Refers to the type of connector used at the ends of the cables. Function: UTP: Provides the physical path for data transmission. RJ: Provides the physical connection interface for the cables to plug into devices such as network switches, routers, and telephones. Usage: UTP: Used as the actual cable for networking and data transmission. RJ: Used to connect the UTP cable to networking devices.
