Like literally, Amber, in the comics, was more worried about whether or not Mark is doing drugs or something, and even talked to Eve and Will, Mark's friends, about her concerns, and felt relieved when she learned the truth. Instead the animated version is just more angry and spiteful, gaslighting Mark into the idea that he's in the wrong for keeping his superhero life a secret, and yet, kept the idea that she knew the entire time that he was Invincible and never confronted him about it the moment she knew, and let the problem fester.

My main question for her is, "Why didn't you just break up with him after you found out?" Like, she has to know that these issues that are clearly deal-breakers for her, like the secrecy and the flaking on dates, are inherent complications of his job that he can't change, so what is she waiting on? Was she expecting Mark to decide on his own to throw away being a hero just to be with her? All she had to do was just sit down with him and talk. She just had to say something to the effect of "Look, I know you're a superhero, and I get how important that is. I just can't handle being with someone who's always going to be obligated to put me second. I'm sorry, but this just isn't going to work out." If she did that, I'd have no problem with her, but she just sat on this problem for weeks and let it fester until everything ended in the worst way. That's to say nothing of how their BS drama screwed Will and Rick completely. Will lost his boyfriend, and Rick got turned into a lobotomized cybernetic abomination all because Amber couldn't be cordial and avoid taking unnecessary risks while they were clearly still in danger, and Mark failed to prioritize correctly (and yes, I do partially blame Mark for blowing Will off there).

Jenny didn't want to do to Forest's child like innocense, that her father did to her's. And when she thought she crossed that line. She fled from him ashamed. Because she thought she had finally become what she spent her entire life running to escape. Her father. She was struggling with that monster all her years. It took having a child of her own and realizing her expression of love was far different from her father's. And with realizing her time was fading from the world. the disaster happened in e7, and she said, "weeks ago" so lets assume its just 2 weeks ago (generous estimate) Now, Mark got demolished by BB in E5, then in E6 we were told he was hospitalized for 6 days, and then he immediately went to her house to talk. Then they went to the college trip (lets assume this all happened over 2 days, so we're 8 days after the legendary ass whooping). There she dumped him after he 'pussied out'. And then the next day after that, she did 'it'. So at max, the events of E7 took place less than 2 weeks after the ending of E5. As a woman, I totally agree that Amber and Louis were both toxic. I will say that Amber is way way worse and really pissed me off when I first saw invincible but like… they’re both toxic for sure. Still love Louis at least but I’d never date them😅🤣 can’t say I love Amber since she has absolutely no forgiving qualities… I’m the kinda girl who likes all genders and so I’ve had plenty of toxic experiences with both guys and girls… even though most of the people who’ve hit on me were guys, the girl’s toxicity I’ve come across is unrivaled… well besides maybe like a few guys I ran into that were extremely selfish and possessive and power hungry. Besides that, women are usually the ones doing that which is why I usually just don’t date… I’m sick of toxic people😅 They believe they deserve to be in a relationship even though they’re obviously not ready for a real relationship and only want it for the wrong reasons… meanwhile I get a lot of attention from a bunch of people because they think I look pretty and I usually don’t feel like I deserve a relationship because I know I’m not ready for one… tons of people say I have lots of green flags but I know I have stuff I still need to figure out… maybe I’ll never be in a real relationship😅 I might be ok with living with that… Talking to my straight female cousin… she was like… guys are so toxic, we give them everything and they leave us with nothing… and I’m thinking… wait huh? What are you giving them?😅🤣 don’t be a prize to be won ladies, just be yourself, same goes to men💜

Agree with the Amber stuff, but nah I disagree with the notion everyone around Mark conspires against him and he’s flawless. The show goes out of its way to show that, at first, Mark tends to care more about acting like a hero and doing stuff that’ll get him the most praise (a lot of this is forced onto him by Cecil but the point still holds true). I like Mark, truely, but if I were to name the most realistically heroic hero in the show, it’d have to be Atom Eve, it’s not even close. Once she leaves Teen Team, she literally goes out of her way to help the average person instead of doing the government’s dirty work. Does it backfire a few times? Sure, but she tries to balance saving the world AND trying to better the lives of individual people, a blind spot in Mark’s heroism (for now?). This is why Invincible is a great show. It’s not just “heros saving the planet from some crazy threat series 738,” it depicts the very real up in your own ass type mentality super heros would realistically have if the popularity gets to their head. No I’m not saying Mark is like that, not entirely. He actually rebels against what Cecil tells him to do at times, which is neat and I’m eagerly awaiting more of this character growth in the latter half of season 2. TL;DR - All this to say I disagreed with the specific connotation Mark is always at odds with his friends and they never had meaningful things to call him out on, that all.
