@@Nilaus personally, I'd be interested in dedicated tutorials for the individual builds (like the ratios and such as your smelters and end product throughput). As an example, 10minute video (or so) with a thorough look at the iron ores: from miners to, say, one line filled with gears ready for mass production into something more. Great explanations behind the plan and execution of the builds in these episodes, but with the 45-55minute long vids, it's a tad hard to keep track of everything going on. Love the game, and your episodes have made me redo almost everything I'd built up, 'cause ofc I had done everything without any thought of the ratios 😅

Curiosity was piqued by the bit about yellow-vs-green trees for organic crystal drops. So went and did a bit of tree-cutting. 22 of 100 yellow trees dropped OC, while 8 of 100 green trees did. Small sample size, but reinforces that a) yellow trees better, and b) green trees do drop OC, at a lower rate. My guess is a probable drop-rate of 20% and 10%, respectively.

@MistedMind3 жыл бұрын
Hey Nilaus, great entertainment and knowledge-transfer you do here :D Though a few things are kinda strange to me xD The resources on the planets are set to finite, right? So you waste tons of stuff by making solar sails, only for them to not be useful at all, because you don't need the energy either way :( Also, you almost meticulously calculate "factory-blocks" at res-sites (I need x-many res/second here, so I build y-many factories) etc etc. Only to later come by and say "okay, so we take that resource from this production line and use it for our totally new line". So basically all that previous min/maxing was only useful for a short time, as it was pretty much thrown of-balance with that new inserted line ;D But still, I learned a lot from all that, how to set up effective / efficient lines etc :)
@Nilaus3 жыл бұрын
Planet resources are finite, but the game has practically endless resources. If i "waste" some now then i just expand to a new planet. I build each design to make sense in itself i.e. at a certain ratio. I am well aware that what Plastic i create when first setting it up will not last all game and that is not intended either
@MistedMind3 жыл бұрын
