I go through these phases where I will listen to nothing but Interpol for days and weeks on end until something new comes along and sucks me away. For over 15 years I have continued to go through these phases a few times a year. I don't do that with any other band or artist. Sometimes I will binge on hip-hop for months on end but the obsession that strikes as Interpol cannot be superseded.

The Specialist is so awesome, favorite version of it? I go around collecting as many live versions of Interpol songs as I can find. The 2003 Cologne one was probably my favorite Specialist. Song Seven is so underrated. The 2001 La Route Du Rock performance is imperfect but my favorite for the latter.

Dru Smith Interpol are a good band band.. you have the right an freedom to be a huge fan of Interpol .. Objectively musically saying no other band comes close to Interpol is Not accurate..Interpol sound the way they do because of Joy Division..there would never have been Interpol if It was not for Joy Division..Interpol do not even come close too JOY DIVISON..Interpol are not even in the same stature music Universe as Radiohead.....Radiohead are the stature influential band ..Im telling you this Fact Objectively....separate from you being an Interpol fan

Fantastic! I missed the New York show. I love the Antics stuff in some ways it's my favorite "album" record; with exception of A Time To Be So Small, it was a single blast and as people rediscover/discover vinyl as a medium I suggest Antics as a great record for the turntable. Anyway don't mind me, I just love all all things Interpol and sometimes their unique mood is all that will do. This is one of those times.

A Time To Be So Small is of my Interpol favorites too, sorry I just wasn't clear that it wasn't written for Antics but already existed. You can find it on an early release called "Precipitate EP" and on the Special Edition of TOTBL with more than a dozen or so demos and b-sides. Very much worth listening to all their early extras, great songs.
