Sadly he died in 2007 in a motorbike accident and now when I see the singer from Interpol it is actually eery how much he resembles my late dear friend This song would be also something of a comfort in those wild 2004-2010 Saturninan return period of my life, especially those emotional times when relationships would break down or times of loneliness and despair in the twilight

I listened to it for the first time and was mesmerised by the whole track. I went on to listen to their whole discography and pick out my favourites, and almost learn them all off by heart on the drums. Sam fogarino is honestly one of my favourite drummers ever. This whole band has a distinctive feeling that just can’t nearly be replicated by anything. Turn on the bright lights is now 20 and is honestly the best album I have ever heard. I love Interpol.

This song always reminds me of a boyfriend I had when I was 14 who broke up with me by giving me a mix CD hahaha so dramatic when I look back. (We bonded over music in the first place so I can kinda see where he was coming from) I was heartbroken! I did eventually become glad he broke up with me.. I still have the CD and it’s got some really good music on it!

LYRICS I wish I could eat the salt off of your lost faded lips We can cap the old times make playing only logical harm We can cap the old lines clay-making that nothing else will change But she can read, she can read, she can read, she can read, she's bad Oh, she's bad It's different now that I'm poor and aging, I'll never seek this face again You'll go stabbing yourself in the neck And we can find new ways of living make playing only logical harm And we can top the old times, clay-making that nothing else will change But she can read, she can read, she can read, she can read, she's bad She can read, she can read, she can read Oh, she's bad It's different now that I'm poor and aging, I'll never see this place again You go stabbing yourself in the neck But it's different now that I'm poor and aging, I'll never see this place again And you go stabbing yourself in the neck It's in the way that she pulls it It's in the things that she puts in my head Her stories are boring and stuff She's always calling my bluff She puts the, she puts the weights into my little heart And she gets in my room and she takes it apart She puts the weights into my little heart I said she puts the weights into my little heart She packs it away She packs it away She packs it away She packs it away She packs it away She packs it away She packs it away It's in the way that she walks Her heaven is never enough She puts the weights in my heart She puts, oh she puts the weights into my little heart
