My best friend in high school introduced me to the likes of Interpol and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I dont think I appreciated how great his taste in music was back then but I did soon learn. Sadly he died in 2007 in a motorbike accident and now when I see the singer from Interpol it is actually eery how much he resembles my late dear friend This song would be also something of a comfort in those wild 2004-2010 Saturninan return period of my life, especially those emotional times when relationships would break down or times of loneliness and despair in the twilight

Hey I’m 32 too. Nice. I first heard Interpol in a skating video (not skateboarding but aggressive rollerblading cause I was way cool) when I was 13 in 2003. When I discovered Interpol I didn’t know what I was in for. I started with evil and started to really like that song, I had a quick look on my Deezer flow and obstacle 1 had been recommended to me. I listened to it for the first time and was mesmerised by the whole track. I went on to listen to their whole discography and pick out my favourites, and almost learn them all off by heart on the drums. Sam fogarino is honestly one of my favourite drummers ever. This whole band has a distinctive feeling that just can’t nearly be replicated by anything. Turn on the bright lights is now 20 and is honestly the best album I have ever heard. I love Interpol.
