Oooh that wasn't smart to ride a mope head on a highway, let alone late at night with one. While they're great little recreational vehicles. Drivers show little to no respect to them unless there are multiple in a group riding together. I had a friend who was litterally knocked off the road deliberately by a SUV driver. The A-hole pulled up along side them then wacked them with the side of the SUV. Sending my poor friend into the small ditch along the road. Thankfully they weren't seriously hurt, but it shows how drivers are willing to go out of their way to hurt people just because they're slightly annoyed at something they should'nt be. Or worse...because they know they can get away with it. And for those not in the know. Mope heads usually can't reach the minimum 45mph on US highways. (Which 45mph is car trouble speed only unless it's a large rig with a seriously heavy or over sized load.) Otherwise you need to be going 65mph to 75mph while driving on US highways. The fact their mope heads adverage between 45mph and 57mph is impressive in comparison, but is still to slow for highways. Not smart OP. You got very very lucky. The laws about those things are for your safety. Remember that the next time you want to violate another one.
