My 6th grade students played this with hand bells at their graduation. It was perfect for the occasion - many in the audience were moved to tears. Thank you so much!

I performed this in a class a few weeks ago with a fourth grade group and it ended with me overcome with awe and amazement. I cried, wept at the beauty of their performance and have since told them over and over again that they are magical and incredibly talented. Thank you for putting this together so people can be moved by music in a way I wish everyone could experience. My students look forward to performing this piece every time they come to my classroom

I'm an educator and I'm like.... my instruments are all broken and I'm having trouble getting enough for my kids and I have boomwhackers and I ran across this channel.... like... everything from rhythm education to full performance choices. Thank you so much.

Thank you for giving this exhausted teacher a moment of music making that brought together 23 students, 1 para, and myself in silent focus for 7 and a half minutes on a day when my heart needed it most! Your channel is absolutely amazing

Oh my goodness....this is GOLD!!! I love the hard work that you do (that I'm not technologically able to figure out) so that our music students everywhere have a chance to make good music together!! But this, this is a whole new level of awesomeness!! Thank you for going outside the box of pop songs and giving us something different. YOU TOTALLY ROCK!!!

Follow up: I have since had my 4th-6th grade general music classes perform along with Interstellar using desk bells (I'm on a cart so boomwhackers are a bit clunky to carry around). I started a new unit and decided to not say anything prior to beginning aside from stating we're starting something new musically and to think about what that may be while playing along. Every single class was completely blown away and begging to do it again. Some classes stood up and applauded at the end of the play along as well! But, the reason I'm back on here commenting is because of one particular 6th grade student. This young musician (who typically doesn't do a whole lot in terms of participation in any class let alone general music) came up to me at the end of the class with tears in their eyes telling me "I get now why you always say music is what feelings sound like because man Ms. R, I've never felt goosebumps from a song and maaannnnn you made me cry, like a good cry but maaannnn!!!" I will take that as a win any day and Mr. Swick, that is thanks to you and the amazing work you did to create this video!! Thank you!!

I didn't think my day would start with tears, but this is beautiful. I've caught criticism for the lack of educational content in this format, but what isn't measured is how many students are experiencing music for the first time, whether physically or emotionally. Your comment is my "why" going forward. Thank you, sincerely.

As someone whose favorite movie is Interstellar and loves boomwhackers, thank you for taking the time to make this!!! I might try it with my students using tone chimes instead of boomwhackers!

I skipped boomwhackers and went straight for the hand bells. It was magical! I bet chimes will be even better!!!

Yes, my email is in the about tab. I'm afraid to type it because of bots scraping my page. Long story. I've been scammed twice.
