As Interstellar didn't get an Oscar, I do not consider an Oscar, an award anymore... I consider this movie much higher than an Oscar. If this movie had won an Oscar, it would be an honor for an Oscar award not to the movie.

Absolutely agree. The movie absolutely got some flaws, the 1st act dragged on for just a bit too long, and the 3rd act was borderline unbelievable compared to how grounded the first two acts had been. But despite that, they still served a greater whole, and the end result delivered an amazing experience. The first time watching this movie was So intense, and I wish I could watch it for the first time again. Only a few movies have that impact on me. Some worth mentioning are the LOTR movies, Avatar and Cloud Atlas (especially Cloud Atlas, though possibly the most enjoyable time watching it is the 2nd watch, but the experience watching Cloud Atlas for the first time still can't even compare to any other movie I've ever watched. That movie is absolutely mind boggling, in a good way).

Life is strange is it not? You wake up everyday not knowing what’s in store. You go to sleep only to journey yet again. Our universe is so vast and yet it is so detailed. Everything has a story, including you. You may not be the first person to exist. You definitely won’t be the last. But you are the only you that exists. You’re unique from everyone else in your own special way. Life is a journey. You will hit many bumps along the way. But you’ll keep moving on. As cheesy as it sounds its not the destination that matters, it’s the journey. That’s what makes life so wonderful. The good and the bad moments we go through. The people we meet. The places we go. And the goals we accomplish. It shows how incredible we can be and what we can do if we keep pushing on. If we keep on living. If you keep being you. So life may be strange but it’s also very beautiful and you are a part of it. So live your life the way you want to. Do what you wanna do. Be who you wanna be. Just be you and never stop being you. So don’t cry. Keep pushing on. And smile for all of the universe to see! So I wish you the best on your journey through this strange thing we call life.

@pilotavery
@pilotavery 4 жыл бұрын
Every little detail in the movie was just done so perfectly and thought out so well. Everything from TARS and CASE being military surplus, their mannerisms, the design of them, the design of the ship, the rotating endurance, the "he wasn't hurting anybody" at the Indian drone which I didn't realize till later implies it had a neural processor just like TARS and was sentient, asking Murphy two points. Radar dish gun thing directly at the drone to establish communication, honestly as a scientist and engineer it just blew my mind how much attention to detail they put to make this story as realistic as possible. Future farms being run mostly on robots, the dust, even the very end when they are inside the Cooper station, which is just a giant O'Neill cylinder, which has been theorized for decades, even the small details like the direction of the waves on Miller's planet, indicating it was an eyeball planet with the same side always facing Gargantua, shaped like a football with a slight wobble. And then sing all the stars whip around the background faintly in the sky a couple times a second just like it would if an hour was actually 7 years. The only thing I didn't like was that it showed Miller's planet much farther away from gargantuan than it actually was, because they wanted to save that last Grand finale scene for the endurance Chase but honestly other than that this was an incredibly wilden story and I don't think that I would have changed anything about it. It's just a masterpiece and the thing is, you would think that a scientist would find it boring because of the inconsistencies of most space and science fiction related movies, but for the first part of the film I almost could genuinely believe it could be a documentary from the future.
@pilotavery
@pilotavery 4 жыл бұрын
@@Sisdey77 I noticed something. Not a single sentence or line in this movie was wasted. The Indian drone at the beginning, that whole scene was genius. It gave us a LOT of implications without saying it. 1: We can tell that Cooper isn't an ordinary farmer. 2: Indian drone on us soil, it implies that USA has deteriorated so badly that they don't even have the resources to shoot it down anymore. 3: It gives a timeline for the collapse of the global economy, if Indian air force went down 10 years ago and they're ahead of us now in engineering, it's probably been 20 years since these issues really started. And then the scene with murphey, right after at school. We learn from that that "Indian drone is of the highest quality" and that implies India has become a global superpower with enough resources to spy on the USA without reprocussions. We also learn that not only is the world too full of engineers which explains Cooper, the farmer hacker, but that 7 billion people all want it all, implying that most 3rd world countries have also fully developed by then. I had to watch this a few times to catch everything. But damn it's like they took 6 hours worth of movie and condensed it down. The cornfield chase just set the stage with as much context as I'd have gotten from a prequel.

@@Looosid Just noticed one more thing when I re-watched it. The first few times I watched it I wondered why he had to separate the Ranger if after he did, the endurance was not firing any thrusters. So it wouldn't have made a difference. I can't believe it took me this long for me to realize that he was taking advantage of the Penrose mechanism or Penrose process, to turn the mass lost to the black hole into kinetic energy with 86% efficiency.
@pilotavery
@pilotavery 4 жыл бұрын
@@Looosid Hah and grandpa, he said 6 billion people when he was a kid, implying he is a 90s or early 2000 kid (about that population. Him being 65 ish puts this taking place in 2065. I loved the designs of the ship. They're nuclear reactor powered, and it directly heats any gas. It flash heats atmosphere by using an arc from an electric generator powered by the nuclear reactor. that Arc can superheat the air in order to operate as the combustion chamber of the turbine and provide both thrust out the back and also bypass some of the exhaust to Jets on the sides top and front for hovering and reaction control, it is a linear reaction control system that allows the ship to be stable with no moving parts. Metallic hydrogen is used in absence of atmosphere.

This video is old and I don’t know if anyone will ever read this comment but ive been a huge fan of Interstellar for years. The music in this film has made me question my entire reality. I find myself blankly staring off into space wondering what's in store for us. I am jealous of the millions after me that will get to see it and experience it, yet I am also mournful for those already lost who have missed what we have created today. We aren't even the most dominant species this planet has ever had yet. Are we just a blip on the timeline? What's our meteor and will it be ourselves..

Interstellar is too dense, rich, and magnificant a movie to be taken in in one viewing. It grows on you, with each viewing, until you can take it all in. It was the same with it's a wonderful life. At first, the world didn’t quite know or understand what a masterpiece of movie-making had been created. Interstellar will grow, in time, to it's full stature, and will be beloved worldwide, for the masterwork that it is, and will eternally live in the hearts of all human beings---

"wakes up" Holy shit I just had a crazy realization that there is no bound between myself and the environment. That I can not exist in this reality without all aspects of interconnectivity of the environment. Realizes that the empty space in the environment is more important that the matter that it contains. Realizes that every single thing that happens to me is a direct communication with the universe. Realizes that the voice guiding me inside my head is not my voice. Realizes that the thoughts I am having are happening to me and I am not generating them. Has the deepest sense of realization that the true me has never spoke a word in my life and has only observed. That the purpose of life was always understanding. Now lays no claim to achievement or mistake and can access Nirvana states due to the fact that everything is perfect and exists completely. Understands that by changing this view all aspects of life become enjoyable and are completely liberated from fear and anxiety. "Falls in love with life in a way unimaginable"

@JoshGates This was the only way I could sum it in a short form. I have experienced this in the last 24 months. Unbelievable experiences 1 after another. I am blessed to be walking down this path. I have now completely unmasked myself using Mushrooms and DMT. On DMT I was able to experience death. Not just an ego death but I went through the full process of death. I was able to achieve this by doing what everyone else is terrified to do... Creating a really bad trip experience on DMT while using Cake to numb my body and trick it into thinking I was dying. The experience was terrifying. I was tortured to death over what felt like 100 years. I had no body so the torture was psychological. It used everyone and everything I loved to destroy my ego until all that was left was pure energy. My personality was destroyed. then i entered a place of amazing color where I met my Jester archetype. It challenged me to figure out what I was. It took me some time but I realized that I was everything. Once that happened I reconnected with the source energy of the universe and I started to remember what I was and what I was doing. I am the eternal everything looking deeply at myself from every single vantage point imaginable all at once without time. In doing so I created an interconnected universe of experience where I can achieve all states of being.When you die you see the universe from the outside.. the eternal side. When you are alive you experience the universe internally as 1 small aspect of it. All of the people and matter within the universe are all you operating without time. quantum projections of state experience. The best part about this knowledge is that no matter what happens... you win. you are eternal and you will remember at the time of death after you shed your ego. If you are able to shed your ego on earth then you will start to remember withour death being nessasary.

If you were going to build a universe and you couldn't lie. where would you hide the true answers?? In the place you were terrified to look. Have you ever wondered why all scriptures are written in metaphors? Because the divine can not lie. It can only tell partial metaphorical truths so that they can be interpreted differently an create different states of experience. All religions are true to some degree. all science is true to some degree. Everything is only relative to the observer. Don't form opinions on anything. look that positions as the universe experiencing itself in every way possible. Everything already exists in full and can not be destroyed. Everything exists perfectly as good and bad. Fall in love with that and stop yourself when you take a side on anything. Instead laugh... You made laughter the most enjoyable thing in the universe. When you die you will realize that the whole universe is really just a comedy... and a good one.

Zimmers work really shines if you have good quality headphones. Turn off the lights and just embrace the scores entirety. Every note, Instrument and voice is all so beautifully crafted into one blissful listening experience that can transcend the movie and into your own life if you just take the time to think about it. Your meaning, the way you go about every day business. The interactions you have with other people and last but not least. This is the story of 7.5 billion souls, the aspect of our construct that no one has ever been able to explain the how and why. It is the simplest, yet most complex story ever told. How the undying love of a father for his daughter is so strong that it can make the most inflexible laws of the known universe bend and twist. Reshaping the fabric of the universe to save ourselves... My God, my headphones are pulsing on my ears, yet the music is not too loud... Simply, wow!!!

Really was one of the most sci-fiction classics of all time. One of the most striking aspects of Interstellar is its breathtaking visuals. The film features stunning depictions of space travel, with vividly realized planets, black holes, and wormholes that capture the imagination and push the limits of what is possible in filmmaking. The use of practical effects and miniatures, combined with cutting-edge computer graphics, creates a sense of scale and grandeur that is unparalleled in modern cinema. But Interstellar is more than just a visual spectacle. At its core, the film is a deeply emotional story about the power of human connection and the importance of family. The relationship between McConaughey's character, Cooper, and his daughter Murph (played by Mackenzie Foy and Jessica Chastain) is at the heart of the film, driving the narrative forward and giving it a sense of urgency and purpose. Interstellar also grapples with complex scientific and philosophical themes, exploring the nature of time, the mysteries of the universe, and the relationship between humanity and the cosmos. The film draws on real-world science and theories, including Einstein's theory of relativity and the concept of a multiverse, to create a compelling and intellectually stimulating story. In addition to its technical and storytelling achievements, Interstellar also features standout performances from its cast. McConaughey delivers a nuanced and emotional performance as Cooper, while Hathaway and Chastain bring depth and complexity to their roles as fellow astronauts. The supporting cast, including Caine, John Lithgow, and Wes Bentley, also turn in strong performances that help to ground the film in a sense of reality. Overall, Interstellar is a masterful work of filmmaking that pushes the boundaries of what is possible in cinema. With its stunning visuals, emotional storytelling, and thought-provoking themes, it has cemented its place as a modern classic and a testament to the power of cinema to inspire and awe audiences.

The emotions this music evokes are so profound and being an explanation. I'm transformed into my purest and most positive image of myself, I'm traveling into new dimensions within myself, with so much peace in such a chaotic world.

This is easily the greatest movie ever made. I've seen it in Imax when it was in the theater, and I have it in 4k. I I watch it at least once a year. I have goosebumps the entire movie.

I was analyzing what and why humans mindset and emotions temporarily change when they listen to Hans Zimmer music.Apparently with Mountains, it seems to be the ticking of the time, which makes your brain wonder what is going to happen, but with the tempo rising little by little people's lives start flashing in a weird way, and their minds force them to put themselves in a situation where you have to think fast.Which is why they get @t matter how many times i have listened to it, the trick always comes to @t its not only putting you in a tense situation, it puts you in a place where you tell yourself(there are two types of people), one that thinks he is a man with a legacy, one that keeps on going , one that remembers someone, somewhere is beleiving in him, and is counting on them, the other tyoe of person is one that is depressing and seeing that their life means nothing, they plan to put it on risk and eventually listen to it sadly.And this goes estimated nearly identical to the other interstellar soundtrack

No one I know in person appreciates this movie nor admires it. Nobody wants to talk about facts related since they do not care. I felt like I was the only one who loved it. I didn't know if I was just exaggerating for being obsessed with it and including its theme song. However as I read through the comments I realize I am actually not the only one that feels the same way about this amazing film. I wish the whole comment section were my friends in real life. We could be nerdy and talk about this and related topics ): You all are wonderful people and I love the fact that there is people out there who share the same interests. I hope I can find my circle of these kind of friends in real life.
