Hi Larry, I know this an older post , I have been drinking my Irish stout for a while now and replaced my faucet with a intertap today with the stout attachment. I am using a 70/30 mix Nitrogen/CO2...Wow it's like night to day , I cannot believe the difference. I now have a perfect pour and a nice creaminess to my stouts, Thanks for this review..

I'm a big fan Larry, you've helped me immensely in getting started with my home brewing. Keep up the great work you're doing!

Yes I love these faucets. I converted from the standard ones to these. I still use my standard shanks though, I just bought some SS springs to use as the self closing spring and they work great on the old shanks.

Thanks mate 👍, only recently started kegging & using taps, big help, cheers.

Love mine! You can use the spring without changing the shank. It is more difficult to get the faucet installed but it can be done! Cheers Larry! 👍🍻

Just an FYI to those with Perlicks, the intertap springs will work with Perlick 630SS faucets and regular shanks. I have six Perlick 630 SS and never had a problem with dripping but bought the Intertap springs to prevent the faucets from being left open during parties and so far they work great. Thanks for the videos Larry, Cheers 🍺

What about the 650SS with the flow control tap?
@handyhomebrewnetwork21423 жыл бұрын
Thanks this is a huge help! Couldn't find this anywhere but have a handful for the 630ss and I wanted all taps to close so as not to confuse the tipsy folks at get togethers! Just ordered 5 springs! Cheers

I have the Intertap as well and the whole reason I got mine was that my cheap, standard taps would stick if I did not drink from the keg within a couple of days. The way the Intertap works keeps the shuttle in the beer. Cheers, Larry! \m/

Great video Larry, short and to the "pint"! lol! The kegerator system I got came with intertap faucets and they are great! I have not had that leaking issue and the ability to screw on different nozzles is an awesome feature too!

I had intetaps (3) but no springs. Only took me 10 min to put spring ($14) for 3in. My vision sucks and I'd get a dribble (or more) every now and then. Hope this does the trick.

Yep - got a great intertap faucet and another (Kroma) I nicknamed "Foamy the Squirrel" which I got as an gift...One day, Foamy will be retired...for another Intertap - they are simply great taps.

If using a kegerator do u need a long or short shank for a intertap faucet
@christianbureau67325 жыл бұрын
Best tap and the are cheap too! Love those, at the factory they test their tap with over 1 000 000 without leaking.

I have a dual tap. Those clear rubber rings might go with the springs.

I have the intertaps but I have the flow control ones which unfortunately won’t let you attach a spring. They are a great tap though.

I found a video which offers a spring solution for flow control faucets. It uses a keg ball lock spring: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pn_EhWpjoqhghJI I cannot vouch for this solution, as I have not tried it myself yet, but it looks promising. Note, the video is not in English, but it shows you everything you need to know.

I love my Perlick faucets, but one of them occassionally dribbles and I have to screw the tap handle a little bit to get it to fully close again. I only notice this when I kill the pressure to the keg and for the first few seconds after the keg is filling up with gas it does this. Other than that, both Perlicks work well. I wish there was a simple fix for it without having to replace it. It's only one of my Perlicks that does this. It's so weird and its a minor annoyance. Mine doesn't go wide open like yours did, that would be nuts to deal with that constantly. Cheers!

Not this one…yet. My old Perlick certainly did.

That’s crazy. None of my perlicks do that. Must have been one of super cheap perlicks. I love all of mine although that bottle attachment feature is nice on yours.

BEER-N-BBQ by Larry well, if that’s the case then damn lol. I just added two perlicks to my collection when I did my keezer build (which i still need to edit).... time will tell I guess. Great video, brother.

I have perlick 630 SS and never had an issue. Was your tap a perlick 525 maybe?
@OldNorsebrewery6 жыл бұрын
Brians a 525 and since you had it for years I think its a 525 too. Heard of several people had some issues with 525. Intertap is a great tap system. Cheers

Do all kegerator taps have that handle by default, or is this due to the model you bought?

Great video! I'm looking into getting one of the Intertap Flow Control Faucets for my keezer. Does anyone know if I can use my existing Perlick shanks or do I have to replace the whole thing?
@brewing80946 жыл бұрын
Great video Larry, I decided to use the Intertap faucets in my custom build kegerator project. I like the spring design keeps the tap faucet closed and the different attachment add on makes it a great choice and value for money. I haven't got the springs yet but all I read a lot of blogs about people saying the spring works with most shanks? Just out of interest have you tried the stainless spring with your Perlick faucet?
@AHawkins20046 жыл бұрын
Which perlick version did you have? The 630ss? Just curious if the leaking was with that version or a design with older versions. Thanks for the video!
@edwardhill69455 жыл бұрын
It’s easy to tell. The older Perlick have the “P” engraved in a really nice cursive script. The newer (630) are a stamped plain font.

Dude I’m gonna build a keezer and was seriously considering these. I was gonna get the ones with flow control and creamer option.
@karlgirthofer55716 жыл бұрын
BEER-N-BBQ by Larry the flow control isn't needed but it can be quite nice. I use it when filling up growler - keeps the carbonation in the beer and helps with less spilling. It also is great for when you have some high carbbed beers like a kolsh and a normal ale on the same carb push.
@danielrowe21746 жыл бұрын
Don't you just love the Intertap facucets? I ha e 4 chrome ones and love them. I have the growler attachment and want to get the nitro tap in the future when I am able to get a nitrogen beer gas and regulator and serve some beers on Nitro

Larry, i just got my awesome Grainfather, but im concerned about carcinogens (silicone on perforated plates and rubber cap and rubber connector on filter). I know its supposed to be food safe, but IS IT? What are your thoughts)?
