Whats the deifinition between intertextual figures and intertextual relationship?
@AimeeShattock5 жыл бұрын
I'm not 100% sure on this one, but if I could guess, I'd say that an intertextual figure is a figure from one text that's been embedded in another. An example might be some of the Marvel superheroes who pop up in other films. An intertextual relationship is the relationship between two texts. This could be an adaptation or a text that refers to another. Hope that helps.

Do you think that we can say that "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" and "Heroes Of Olympus" include intertextuality ?
@Iyadkay2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it does. The author alludes to Greek mythology.

Hello, just wondering is there another word for appropriation and allusion, Im looking for them in scholarly sources but can't seem to find them, please help, thank you
@AimeeShattock7 жыл бұрын
Hi! Appropriation is often called adaptation - especially in the US. I don't know of allusion being referred to as anything else unfortunately. Perhaps try typing allude, alludes and allusion into your search engine. Hope it helps, Aimee :)
