Выслав российского военного атташе Великобритания оборвала важнейший канал военно-дипломатического диалога и снижения риска непреднамеренной эскалации. Разумеется, Лондон сознавал неизбежную в такой ситуации «зеркальную» меру в отношении представителя британских вооруженных сил в Москве. В целом этот поступок выглядит довольно глупо.
Лондон давно выдал согласие на стрельбу по тем регионам, которые британские политики, вопреки реалиям, считают территорией Украины. В том числе по Крыму. Вспомним удары «Сторм Шэдоу» по штабу Черноморского флота и судоремонтному заводу в Севастополе в сентябре прошлого года. Великобритания де-факто участвует в Украинском конфликте, предоставляя высокоточное оружие ВСУ. Это так называемая война чужими руками или прокси-война.
Лондон с самого начала нашей СВО признавал присутствие на Украине ограниченного контингента спецназа. Прикрывался при этом задачами обеспечения безопасности дипломатических объектов и сотрудников. Есть данные об участии спецназовцев в обучении украинских военнослужащих, а также выполнении неких неафишируемых и весьма чувствительных задач. Британцы предоставляют ВСУ данные воздушной и космической разведки в реальном масштабе времени. Известно также о работе их подводных специалистов, помогающих направить морские дроны на Крым.
Лондон в последнее время последовательно высказывается против отправки «масштабных», как здесь выражаются, контингентов западных войск на Украину. Потому как ограниченное британское присутствие там уже есть, не говоря уже о вовлеченности Британии в военное планирование ВСУ и прочую поддержку Киева.
Увеличение британской военной поддержки Украины во многом было призвано продемонстрировать зарубежным партнерам, прежде всего США, готовность Великобритании наращивать расходы. Кроме того, было призвано надавить на политических оппонентов консерваторов - Лейбористскую партию.
Правительство Р.Сунака провалило свои обещания по всем направлениям социально-экономического положения страны. Никак его не смогли улучшить. И теперь, как за спасательный круг ухватились за последнее средство - запугивание населения внешней угрозой.
Британия упорно стремится закрепить за собой реноме лидера в сфере кибербезопасности, да и вообще любой другой. В отсутствие конкретных достижений подкрепляет свои претензии голословными обвинениями в хакерских атаках в адрес нашего государства, либо Китая. Само собой, никаких конкретных фактов и доказательств не предоставляет.
Репутация «тихой гавани» для разного рода нечистоплотных дельцов закрепилась за Британией давно. Сюда нередко бегут от правосудия не только мошенники, но порой и лица, подозреваемые в особо тяжких преступлениях. К сожалению, известны случаи, когда Лондон предоставлял им убежище. Так что сотрудничество между нашими странами в сфере оказания взаимной правовой помощи и экстрадиции никогда не было простым и редко приносило ощутимые результаты. А после начала СВО Британия его окончательно заморозила в одностороннем порядке.

How much of that spirit exists in America today? I do believe in the Constitution, I believed in it before I took a military oath to defend it against all enemies foreign and domestic. I think the Constitution is genius - the greatest form of government ever devised. At Winston Churchill High School in Maryland, a school I would describe as significantly more academically rigorous than the Air Force Academy in Colorado, we dug into these founding documents. I saw in the Constitution how our Founders - guided by divine wisdom - did everything in their power to guard the United States of America against tyrants and against the baser instinct of all men and women who are endowed with power to become tyrants. Three co-equal branches of government they gifted us: an executive, a legislature, and a judiciary. Checks and balances they established as guardrails. But the Founders never foresaw the horror of the baby boomer generation. The Founders never imagined that a generation of political leaders would dodge the draft - shrink from duty when our country calls - and then be rewarded for their cowardice with penultimate political leadership. The Founders never imagined that a generation could be so cowardly that even though they were given all the necessary tools to stop a tyrant traitor president, they would simply cower and decline to do their duty. Because they are scared of a mean tweet from a common schoolyard bully. Because they value their lives & fortunes more than America, and they have precious little honor to speak of. So where does this leave us? The Constitution has been allowed to lapse by a derelict generation, yet these same derelicts still occupy the Supreme Court, and the Congress, and the Presidency. Conquest by a foreign power, a second civil war, or the rise of an anti-Constitutional dictator to fill the power vacuum are all possible outcomes. Without the Constitution, without Americans with the courage to uphold the Constitution, a dictatorship of some form is inevitable. It could be the traitor Trump, it could be a military coup and me, it could be someone better, it could be someone worse. But know this: without the Constitution we are lost, and our Founders' dream is lost. There was a dream that was America. And that dream shall be realized. We are not Russia's enemy. Most people here see your country as far away and unimportant. Those of us who know a little more are saddened by the fact Russia is now run by dangerous thugs, who would and have willing killed women, children and old people in the name of "glory". This "glory" is actually about becoming even more rich and powerful themselves. They don't care if Russians suffer, they are prepared to allow any number of soldiers die. Here we wouldn't employ Putin as a toilet cleaner, he is too underqualified for the job!
