Intervals is the only known band to me that never ever disappoints. Every time Aaron somehow is able to find new ways to find and make such a tone and such a piece of melody and groove that I fall in love with imediately. Every. Single. Time. We need to take a moment to talk about 1:42. This entire section until the solo finishes is the best thing I have ever heard in modern metal / prog. The Mix is ridiculous yes, the cymbals are the perfect balance of dynamic processing and the shimmer reverb is eqd to sound good for the first time in history but putting that to one side. This section perfectly encapsulates everything that is good about progressive metal in a way I have never executed so flawlessly. I really believe this raises the bar, and it inspires me to write better music is not a feeling I get much anymore.
