This should be the mix on every track. We need MORE BASS!

Funny enough. I have seen people go a bit "meh" on 5-HTP for instance where I think it had the perfect blend of everything. All the talents were on display in equal measure. Nathan, Jacob and Aaron all did a fantastic job on that track. Not that rest of the album isn't of equal quality mind you. To me, Circadian is THE album of 2020.

I’m a guitarist but this seriously makes me want to take up bass instead. By the way, I think the mixing on the album is mostly great, but on this track this bass cut needs to be on the studio version. The bass makes the song and is exceptionally kinetic and delightful.

I’m a bassist and this is a tad high but Jacob needs to be higher in the mix imo it adds so much to the song.

There is something about this man doing all of this with just his fingers that is so damned impressive. That three-finger picking technique is just filthy; I would have thought that kind of riff could not be accomplished without a pick, and I was so wrong. The aggressive and confident way he plays is really fun to watch. He knows his role as a bassist but also knows it can be technical and fun.

That's a hell of a bass tone! That kind that when they play something live in concert through the pa it just hits you right in the chest.

@@xisotopex you could probably get a nice kind of similar cool tone with compression and some distortion to help pop out that high mid end like his sound.

@@criticaltheist3992 and new strings. the old dead strings I have on now probably dont help lol
@criticaltheist39923 жыл бұрын
@@xisotopex haha yea and make sure they are bright ass wound wounds for sure, I wouldn’t go for any of that flatwound non sense to get this sound lol you know what I think it is too? I think his Basses all have three pick ups it looks like. I had a schecter omen for a short time and it just lacked the natural high end to get that sound and to me had like a dark almost jazzy tone......if you are starting from that similar point you’ll need a lot of compression and just the right overdrive....but even then it’ll sound different but I bet you can get it to sound killer. But a vintage series jazz bass, sting ray, or an esp Ltd might get closer out the gate..check Harley Benton for cheap ones my bro
