Interview At The Ancient Ram Inn, Gloucester UK

An interview with the eccentric John Humphries of the Ram Inn in Gloucester, during a ghost hunt on the 22nd of July 2009. John details a few of the items found on the premises of one of the most haunted sites of Great Britain, giving his theories as to why the Isles are so haunted and the lineage that connects it to Judeo/Christian beleifs.
In his time at the Ram, John has encountered many paranormal events and allegedly was sexually assaulted by a Succubus in his bed. There are many reports of paranormal activity, but this video concentrates on Johns explanations and beliefs about a variety of subjects.

It would have been amazing to have met John during our first time investigating the Ancient Ram Inn. Really wish we could have interviewed him ourselves and met him personally. For everything he stood for, even saving the Ram from demolition many years ago. I bet his spirit now resides at the Ancient Ram also along with the many others who haunt the place. He was a fantastic man, gone but not forgotten. He likely won’t remember me but he played a huge role in my life after an accidental visit to the ram inn when my sat nav took me to the nearest pub when I was exploring then Cotswolds with my ex boyfriend and his mother. I experienced things here to the degree I could write a book. This man was beyond fantastic it was an absolute pleasure to have met him and his hospitality. R.I.P John and thank you once again for your kindness all those years ago.

John was an interesting man but much of his knowledge on English history is wrong such as William the Conqueror bringing the Catholic faith here. It actually came in 597 with the monk and first Archbishop of Canterbury St Augustine who converted the pagan Anglo Saxons to Christianity. Also Henry 8th caused much poverty with the reformation. Yes the church was very rich but many were thrown into poverty when the king closed the monasteries which were houses of charity , healthcare and education to the English people.
