What about the words from a woman's mouth? As scripture says 1st Timothy, "for woman was the one was deceived." She says something about being raped 1 year later. ONE YEAR LATER, you don't see guilt from the lawyer, people are incredibly stupid and you sound dumb. If you were violated or wronged, would you wait a year to say something 🤔? This came out when it was clear he won a job in the NFL. No one broke into her home and raped her. She was portraying herself as easy and consented, evident by her saying something a YEAR later.

Guilt by accusation for Araiza. He must prove his innocence, which is not supposed to be the way our legal system works. I know a civil suit is a bit different, but the idea that he’s considered guilty by being accused is wrong. If he did it, he should be buried under the prison and doesn’t belong in society. But we need to be sure. A false accusation is disgusting and it does happen. Though again, if he is guilty, I hope that he’s nailed to the wall.

I agree. What I'm still trying to figure out from this whole thing is who were the teams/execs who were aware of this during the draft and why didn't they say anything? Is it because they were afraid of retribution if this is proven false or because they were hoping a competitor would take him and have to deal with the fallout? There's also a lot of other questions to answer in this whole matter.

What's a red flag is you know the Bills did the due diligence. Two days ago they were surprised. The civil suit surprised them. The lawyer above and probably what the Bills came away with made them believe without a doubt that Araiza was not involved as accused. The accused attorney shared information with the media of discussions with Araiza's criminal attorney. That's an ethical violation. The Bills legal staff would not comment for good reason. Something doesn't connect with this. The Bills organization is top notch and missing ANYTHING would surprise me. There is way more to this.

Bills probably didn't anticipate a civil suit to be brought so soon and before the criminal side was dealt with. I've been following this closely and have very conflicting feelings on it. Not that anyone cares; but I cant help but withold judgment. She went to the police a day after, and had a rape kit done. The police have had this information for over a year, recently closed the case and the DA has had it and not made a decision. The college started their own investigation after SDPD closed theirs, and is ongoing. I know colleges have a poor track record with this. I'm asked by her lawyer (Dan Gilleon, who is currently meme-ing this poor girl to death on Twitter to promote his services) to believe the San Diego Police Department, along with the University, either covered it up or are criminally incompetent. Not an unbelievable ask, but immprobable in 2022 that they'd choose to cover it up rather then deliver justice. It was a bad crime. Wouldn't anyone human want to get retribution for that? I doubt a cabal of evil old men on the university board conspired to protect this kid and involved corrupt police. If he's guilty, crucify him. He's a monster. But this girl was allegedly drugged, beaten, and raped. It's very possible it happened to her, and shes recollecting events incorrectly and he wasn't involved. It's possible it happened to her, and she saw an opportunity and included him. It's possible it happened and he's guilty. But we shouldn't basically kill a man by taking his livelihood and everything hes worked towards without due process. Even guilty people deserve to he *proven* guilty. The reason a Civil case was brought forth was because the DA has not pressed charges. They also said they declined to accept an offer of money. Perhaps they declined the offer because he is guilty. Perhaps they're leveraging his fame and contract for a larger payout. We have to ask: why, after investigation and a rape kit have no charges been filed? Why were the bills and one other team that interviewed him, who (allegedly) conducted their own investigations into the matter deemed it worth the risk? Just because this crime causes a visceral reaction doesn't mean we can act like animals, just because we're led to believe he's one. Withholding judgement until the facts are clear and decided does not mean complicity. It means being human. It means justice--and thats a two way street.

Armstrong clearly states during the interview over and over that Araiza did not forcibly do anything to the victim. So he is basically acknowledging his client had sex with the victim. If there are numerous witnesses that testify the victim told people she went to Grossmont college instead of Grossmont high school that could be a problem for the prosecutor. Quite frankly I believe the sex was consensual between Araiza and the victim but the problem transpires when he allegedly offered her up to his friends. Now that could be a problem!

Lots of bad decisions were being made by multiple people that night, but if you've got a golden ticket like Araiza did then you can't put yourself in that situation no matter what. I’m skeptical. This is a tale as old as time. I went to HS with Marcus Dixon (former NFL player now a defensive coach for the Broncos) and a similar situation happened to him during HS. Same thing also happened to former Broncos LB Alexander Johnson. Unfortunately this thing happens to high level athletes all the time. The argument that the accusations began before he was in the league is a weak one. Likely they were a little drunk at a party, hooked up, she either regretted it and was being judged, knew she could make some $, or just wanted the notoriety. Is it possible he just straight up grabbed 2 of his friends and said let’s go rape this minor? Yeah I guess. All I’m saying is there’s a reason when you play sports your coaches tell you all the time to be super safe when dealing with girls in social events especially when drugs or alcohol are involved. This kinda thing happens so often it’s unreal.

The key word is FORCEABLY. I believe the legal age of consent in California is 18, but if there are witnesses corroborating Matt Araiza's claim that she said she was 18 and in college, it could change a lot of things. Based off this lawyer's meticulous articulation of the word "FORCEABLY" I believe Araiza did have sex with her, but they may have went full BORE willingly. This could also explain him telling her to get checked for STD's and his Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) being present if that's the case. As for those other guys, I can see a scenario where Araiza may have directed her to a certain room knowing those guys wanted a little as well. It is pretty FISHY, (no pun intended) that she would file a civil suit a couple of days after he was named the starter. I don't know if this guy is guilty or not, but he's a good looking kid and he's probably gonna be a game changer if he's not guilty. I give her credit, she see's the writing on the wall one way or the other.
