My son's 18, and he's heard the stories too, but I'm totally honest with him, and he's the total opposite of what I was when I was 18. I Love Jelly Roll, you can hear his soul in his songs for sure. Artist grow. Jelly is from the streets of nashville in an era where everyone wanted to be a rapper. Realistically that’s all he saw and knew. If he would of grown up middle or upper class he would of been country from the jump. He grew and so did his music. The message or content is still the same! How could anyone hate on this man!
