I can completely see where Brantley is comin from. At 26 I was told if I did stop drinkin I had 6 months. 1 week later I found out I was going to be a dad and quit drinkin on the spot and haven't touched it since. It's been 16 years!

Jelly roll deserves every penny and ounce of respect he’s gotten. Love the dude, started following em in 2010 or so after I saw his 10 minute freestyle. Some of his core fans are disappointed in his music path, but even those of us who fell in love with em while he was rapping, you gotta feel it whether he’s rapping rocking or singing ima support jelly. Love u bubba

Jelly has a special place in my heart as he does many im sure. This man cant understand the depth he has reached into a counter culture of us recovering from addiction and those still trapped in it. He will never be mainstream no matter how much radio time he gets. His heart and soul wander the fringe were he helps us heal. He can colab with anybody he wants and create a track people will go bat shit for.

I love this interview because Brantley took the time to shout out artists that aren't necessarily a part of the "mainstream" click, you don't see big artists like Brantley do that often. What a humble fella. Underground and indie music definitely has a much bigger lane and platform than every before, he is right...it is indeed a great time for music right now.

I remember telling my Mom, "it don't matter, I ain't gonna see 25", came up the same as Brantley, I think it's a jackson county thing. My son's 18, and he's heard the stories too, but I'm totally honest with him, and he's the total opposite of what I was when I was 18. I Love Jelly Roll, you can hear his soul in his songs for sure. The world needs more people like Brantley and Jelly Roll. They told Hank he wasn't Opry material, they told Willie and Waylon there wasn't room for them in Nashville at one time, nowadays it doesn't matter what "THEY" say.

Artist grow. Jelly is from the streets of nashville in an era where everyone wanted to be a rapper. Realistically that’s all he saw and knew. If he would of grown up middle or upper class he would of been country from the jump. He grew and so did his music. The message or content is still the same! How could anyone hate on this man! I got alot of respect for Jelly Roll and BG, have listened to them for years and Adam Calhoun just released his last rap album but said he's still gonna write country but I don't think he will ever sign a record label just like Upchurch won't and I don't blame and they don't need a label but they'll probably never be on mainstream radio without it.. Screwed up system

i appreciate your enthusiasm. but there is absolutely no chance of me going mainstream. im anti-mainstream doing mainstream numbers. There is no reason for me to go back on my word and what i believe in to attempt to get the same numbers i already get. thats silly. but again appreciate your excitement.

Doubtful as Brantley's on a label. But that would be sick.
