Good one to highlight! I was impressed with Origin. I think Thieaudio, ZiiGaat, Kiwi Ears are going overboard with the number of redundant releases though. Quality over quantity

I agree they release a lot of products per year. I personally don't think quality suffers but I would agree that there is redundancy. What do you think the right number of releases per year per brand should be?

I tried the Origin at CanJam London, it was a very well balanced set with a nice punch. I don't know if it was the environment or not using the right tips...but I couldn't feel the impact of the bone conduction driver during my test...probably because it was not the final prototype and tuning needed to be refined a bit more. I'm curious to try the final unit, I really need a tribid/quadbrid to step-up from my Variations in my audio journey...and the Origin looked like a good candidate for my next purchase :)

I hope you get the opportunity to try a production version of the Origin. I'd add that the bone conduction driver doesn't have a physical 'feeling" to me. I mean I don't feel it vibrate or anything. What I notice is a thickness in the sound. It's a visceral sensation to me.

I have a budget under 400 USD (new or used are all good), my preferred genres are pop, jazz, ballad, rap, and orchestra. I also play fps games on occasion. what should I get if I like vocal, detail retrieval and high quality bass (don't need a lot of bass). Thanks

Great interview/vid. These are definitely in my tuning range. Maybe I’ll have to sell something like my Scarlet Minis to help get these..are these as easy to drive as the 2 Ziigaats you reviewed recently? (Arete/Estrellas)

I’m using them in an airport now with just my iPhone and Apple dongle. No problem driving!

So I reallyy want to be able to feel the bass and I heard MEXT actually rumbles but has poor tuning. How does the MEXT compare to the Oracle that clearly has great tuning and a new BC driver? Hard to choose because I've heard the Origin doesn't really vibrate or have true bone conduction and what not. Basically, how do these compare to something like the UM MEXT 🤔?

Any new flagships info?

How's your personal preference with the Origin? I personally found the Monarch MKIII to be too boomy/slammy with the music I listen to, would the Origin be too bassy for me?
@wiesolos19 күн бұрын
The reality is that there aren't simply any BC drivers that are capable of conveying sound through contact with bones. Most of the time, the manufacturer just installs a mini vibrator and calls it bc lol

I dislike flagship thick sounds. It makes me feel nauseous after 5 mins.

I can see how you might think we are shilling, and in a way you are right. John and I both work part time for Linsoul. What we intended with this video is to give you, the potential customer, more info about the Origin so you can make a more informed choice. It makes me feel good knowing that we were able to communicate a feature about this iem (thick sound) that you don’t like. Not every IEM is for everyone and at this price it would be a big disappointment if you purchased the Origin and then discovered you don’t like the sound.
