JP (as is with the other members) is a true artist and student of his craft. True professional and a gentlemen. So glad Clutch are still together and making new music. The new record is fantastic.

Sat next to JP in math class in high school. So great to hear how articulate and intelligent he is. He's also a great interview and has a lot of very interesting things to say about their creative process among other things. Very down-to-earth dude who seems very easy to like and be around. Great to see them all still jamming together after all these years.

This interview with JP is a metaphor for Clutch. Honest, hardworking, and heavy.

JP is a smooth ass drummer. Love to watch him play and just sit back and enjoy. He has my kind of swing. 👊🏼

I have seen Clutch in the neighborhood of 60 + times since 1995 and I just saw them again on Tuesday in Pittsburgh. They tore it up!!! Honestly, I would put that performance in my top five of all time seeing them. The played all but Mountain of Bone from the new album and a nice mix of older stuff, which for me was a nice mix. The new album is awesome. Here's to many more years and tours of the mighty Clutch!!!

I've listened to the album 5 times today and I'm seeing them Saturday in OKC. My 2nd Clutch show in 6 months, and 8th overall. I'm pumped.

Many can ROCK! Few can groove without losing an ounce of ROCK. Clutch are masters.

Great interview. Just saw them recently in LA and I can’t get enough of them, easily one of the best bands around. I love Jean-Paul’s concept of “swing” in music. Haven’t heard many other musicians have, or even talk about that type of musician freedom of expression. While some bands need to have an end I truly hope Clutch keeps on it as long as they want. Seriously just an amazing show from really honest & talented dudes.

I like how both lads have COC stuff in the background. Good interview, JP is an absolute gem.

We ended up talking about COC after the interview, he showed us his cool COC skateboard also signed by the band.

I wish we could post pics in the comments on YT. I have a few good ones of me, Pepper and Woody partying at Dimebag's house after a CoC show in Arlington a few years back. They're fun to hang with.

Good interview. Good questions. Would be interesting to hear examples of him playing a song straight vs with a little swing. Always enjoy hearing JP talk. We'll spoken dude that knows music.

I've always thought that Neil has the presence of a Pentecostal preacher on stage, very commanding. There are allot of bands out there and very few frontmen have that kind of presence without a gimmick.
