Kizomba is not exactly 'adapted Semba'. It's more of an improvised Passada (made popular by the Big 7 of the Kizomba movement) . As Fabricio himself points out, though he is from Angola, he never really 'danced' Kizomba while in Angola. So, Kizomba, the music could be from Angola, but the dance is not.

This comment made me even more confused because people usually say that the music isn’t while the dance is. And also I don’t understand how fabricio not seeing ppl in Angola dancing Kizomba proves that the dance doesn’t really exist in Angola because from my experience I always seen Kizomba danced in family events and also in Kizomba schools that were so immense in the “cidade” area. My final question is If Kizomba dance is not from Angola then where is it from because I would like to learn more how it is originally danced in the actually country ? If my comment has a tone sorry it’s because I’m not a native English speaker
