I can totally relate to you Tim, rejected & shunned by not only your mother but everyone at 10 years old is crazy abusive. I thank you Tim for sharing your story and also to you Justin for interviewing & posting it. I have watched your videos since you 1st started your channel on youtube. My mom and our entire congregation shunned me when i was 12 yrs old. I have never heard of another child that this also happened to who was even younger than i was. I have always felt like the only one until i saw this video. I also immediately became very angry, isolated & rebellious. I was very lucky that my parents were divorced so i was able to go live with my non jw dad. Ill forever be grateful and thankful for his unconditional love & stability. My brother a year older than me had already been at my dads since he was 9 yrs old. He and i were no longer allowed any contact with our 2 younger siblings who still lived with our mother. They were told we were bad kids. Exact words were that we were "bad association." That our dad and the 2 of us would all die in Armageddon. My mom did not speak to either of us for yrs and me until i was 19 yrs old. The rejection by my own mother was so damaging to me that i struggled for many years. My teen yrs drinking & drugging & being chronically truant. I was unknowingly trying to heal from the damage she and her cult did to me. It took me a very long time to even understand how it affected me. My brother became an alcoholic & drug addict very young and eventually died by suicide in his 40s. Our cut off relationship with our 2 younger siblings was painful for all 4 of us. Our sister also died by suicide 3 yrs after him. This cult destroyed our entire family forever. I just turned 60 this year and i still feel anger & resentment towards my mom and the watchtower cult. She died at 80 still fully in it. I will miss & grieve my brother & sister forever. My whole heart goes out to you Tim! Your story deeply affected me and i thank you very much for sharing your painful childhood & struggles into adulthood with all of us. 😔

Atleast in our times of being together we’ve had a lot of deep conversations and I’ve learned a lot. I try not to hold any animosity for the past.

My God. What kind of incompetent morons would ever do this to a 10 year old? And for walking out of a store with a watch, a watch you never even stole? Would love for the government of Norway to get a hold of this little ditty prior to their trial in February. The truth of the matter is elders are frustrated little dictators who wield power without any accountability. And lest I forget, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM!!! You are quite an amazing man, one who would be there to help anyone else who is suffering. Please give yourself a massive hug and pat in the back, because you, my friends are a survivor. I've had to do so much psychological, emotional and mental healing. The worse thing is when you are damaged, neglected and abandoned it's easy for bad people to victimize you. I hope this high control cult is brought down in my life time. I am 57 now and I'm still healing and learning self love and how to have healthy relationships. Story after story comes out revealing the indescribable levels of cruelty and heartlessness the JWs present! I'm so sorry this happened to you, Tim.💔 I too left home at 16 after my father prophesied my death. I knew he would make his mad "prophecy" come true if I hung around. Meanwhile, I hope you can heal some of those psychological wounds. JWs' cult personas literally hijack their real SELF to the point of losing their humanity. In my experience, Watchtowerland is full of crazies and we live at least some of those effects! I left the JWs in 2000, and have had literally years of therapy to find my true self and change my beliefs to something spiritually bearable. Now, Happy Birthday, Tim! 🤩👍🥂🎂☕🎁🎀🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈

Not sure if it was discussed, but if you have insurance, please look into therapy because it might be healing just to have someone compassionate to listen and comfort you, to let you know what you lived through was an outrage, and that your resulting coping methods were the only natural result of living through so much horror. I “m so sorry what this man had to go through because of being shunned. I have met many ex JW. I met a teenager that the parents kicked out. Two teenagers that committed suicide, a young girl of 12yr that wanted to run away, which my brother talked her out of it. My friend who was abused by her husband. Her husband was an elder in the JW. The worst was when he stabbed her in the stomach. I asked her why she didn’t leave him. Her answer........you can only leave on the ground of adultery. She caught her husband with another woman in their bedroom. In the beginning the congregation didn’t believe her. Her husband said she was crazy. She left him but no one in the congregation would help her. When she left her husband she had only 15 dollars. She had to go to a shelter. I could go on and on the abuses that JW has done to their members . The one that stands out in me is a nonmember that committed suicide. This incident was told to me by a friend . His mother was having a Bible study with two JW women. His mom hanged out with bikers. She wanted to change. It takes time to change. I guess she wasn’t changing fast enough to suit them. She was told she was going to have everlasting death, aremeggdon was around the corner. She committed suicide on the day he graduated from high school . He blames himself. His mom and him got into a disagreement, hence, he got mouthy with her. He had a lot of guilt. It affected his life. I told him “he has nothing to feel guilty. As teenagers we all get mouthy including myself.”

This story confirms my firm belief that mother nature programmed in humans an innate sense of morality, decency, principles, values, law & order. When this natural programming or constitution is violated such as engaging in unnatural sexual deviancy, the soul and spirit is severely damaged and hurt. The result is shame, guilt, loss of joy in life and mental anguish even leading many to suicide. Although I'm an atheist, I am convinced that mother nature has wired in us a natural disgust and repugnance towards homosexuality, pedophilia, bestiality, incest, cannibalism, murder and all other behaviors that destroy human dignity and peace of mind. The problem is that many humans see this naturally wired constitution of morals, values, decency and masculine integrity as a burden and deliberately overpower and override the factory settings to the point of engaging in these despicable and unnatural behaviors that violate the laws and order of nature. One thing that really bothers me about former JW'S is that they enable and accept unnatural and disgusting behaviors that are destructive to your mental and physical health such as depraved lifestyle as homosexuality, lesbianism, transgenderism and all other destructive behaviors. Some people need religion to live a decent life, others use common sense and mother nature to teach them what is right.

They stack themselves up pretty high when they say Jehovah exclusively sends out spiritual guidance through his holy spirit to the GB at the appropriate time. Makes one wonder why Jehovah let these men(GB) profess false apostate teachings all throughout the 20th century and bit from the last part of the 19th century ???? The bible says to watch what self identified preachers of the word are saying to see if they saying things that god had given them to say and to shun ones if they are false prophet apostates. From the teachings in the bible it says that the top leaders of the JWS should be shunned for their activity as false prophet apostates. What wonderful lies these men set up to create power and money for themselves, but they are deeply endeavoured into a very serious sin according to the bible Revelation 20:10

Yes, but in name only. Only over the past 2-3 years, in response to their legal troubles in Norway and in Australia. They call it "removed from the congregation" now instead of "disfellowshipped". Now they can say a "greeting" to a disfellowshipped relative or friend, to invite them to a meeting. New script for the same indoctrinated hatred.
@DianePantig28 күн бұрын
You can choose to say a greeting in the kingdom hall to someone who was disfellowshipped for leaving the religion.However when you step outside the hall nobody has anything to do with you.Nothing has changed!

1st the parents are responsible for their child not the congregation. For this child to be "Shunned" he or she would have to be a baptized member of the JW organization and then commit a gross sin. If the congregation felt this child was bad or evil they are the ones needing council. I'm sure some 10year olds can be bad considering what and who they associate with but ultimately the parents have oversite of their children.
@jediflowmaster8156Ай бұрын
This is actually Tim and you dont have a clue. Back in 1983 when this happened I was treated just the same as being disfellowshipped. It was called public reproof if you were not baptized...different verbage same rules. God is love right? Unconditional at that. JW's practice conditional love, it's not real and never will be. Look at Norway, they get it. Its you who doesn't. Get out while you can
@ronhansen8471Ай бұрын
@@Nomen.Monniker No those who commit a gross sin are not always removed as a member. It all depends on how they accept loving council and whether or not they repent. I do not mess around with apostates. Where does this site state it is for apostates? I do not see any difference here then going door to door and meeting people with a different opinion. While I never argue at the door especially those who are anti-JW I always give people the benefit of a doubt and do not judge. If the person does not want to listen, I politely take my leave. The true apostates are different who are ex-JWs who purposely use deceptive practices to try and lead Jehovah's people away from the truth with full knowledge of what they are doing. Apostacy usually has application to the spirit anointed who go against the true God like Satan the devil.

@g45crrt2 ай бұрын
That's a great question, I'm glad you asked. Thank you! Why are you talking about shunning, it happens all day long - people are rude? We are supposed to be worshiping the father. I received my 100-fold 22 years ago, and I am always loyal to the father Jehovah God. How about you? John 14:6 says, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". This verse appears in the Bible during the Last Supper, when Jesus is speaking to his disciples. You see Jesus' rulership is for a very short time. We need to learn from Jesus' example here on earth and honor Jesus' commandments so we will have access to Jehovah God, who is the ruler of the universe forever. (that's what John14:6 means). People have lost focus of the big picture. The New Testament is just a record of Jesus' life here on Earth, that's all. So, we need to follow Jesus commandments so we will have an opportunity to live forever. John 17:3 where Jesus states, “Now this is eternal life; that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” Even Jesus Himself agrees that there is only one true God, which is not Himself, since He refers to Himself as separate and distinct from the “true God.” If we follow Jesus' commandments will have a relationship with both the father and the son. Revelation 1:5 and from Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness,” - Even Jesus Christ was a witness! Most Christian congregations don't have a relationship with God because they have rejected Jesus' New Commandments and The Lord's Prayer (they only worship the son, sports and holidays). And therefore, will not receive everlasting life. READ BELOW ↓ This is the first and greatest commandment. 1 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. 2 Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. The Lord's Prayer Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. The Lord's Prayer is very clear that the kingdom and the power and the glory belong to the father (not Jesus). Yet, most Christian congregations ignore Jesus' commandments. READ BELOW ↓ 2 John 1:9 Anyone who runs ahead without remaining in the teaching of Christ does not have God. Whoever remains in His teaching has both the Father and the Son. Matthew 15:8,9 These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship Me in vain, teaching as doctrines the commands of men. Matthew 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. We are to pray to God, not Jesus - remember The Model Prayer. Pray like this, "Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name." This is what Jesus taught, and the people in false religion hate it! We are to worship God, not Jesus, according to Jesus' New Commandments and The Model Prayer. Eph. 4:5 says there is one God and one faith - not many. There are many religions/faiths. But only one is right. The entire Bible verifies that! All the false faiths must come up with beliefs that tickle their ears. (2 Tim. 4:3) READ BELOW ↓ John 6:43-45 43 In answer Jesus said to them: “Stop murmuring among yourselves. 44 No man can come to me unless the Father, who sent me, draws him; and I will resurrect him in the last day. 45 It is written in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by Jehovah.’ Everyone that has heard from the Father and has learned comes to me. As these scriptures bring out, 1 - No man can come to me unless the Father, who sent me, draws him; 2 - 'And they will all be taught by Jehovah.' 3 - Everyone that has heard from the Father and has learned comes to me. Also, these three scriptures above put an end to the trinity nonsense! This message is very clear, if you are not being taught by Jehovah God or his organization, you will not receive everlasting life because you do not have access to ~ Jesus Christ ~ the Faithful Witness. Even Jesus was a witness. That means you'll need a Bible with God's name restored in 6,828 places. Most Christian congregations claim that Jesus is God and will not even acknowledge Jehovah God's name. As a matter of fact, they hate God's name, and they are not going access to Jesus or receive everlasting life. Also, most Christian congregations refuse to comply with Jesus' New Commandments and The Model Prayer. The most important scriptures of all and they are not going to be saved!! Get a Bible that has God's name restored - instead of a false religion Bible that has removed Jehovah God's name 6,828 places. The correct English translation for the word JHWH is Jehovah. All English Bibles say God's name is Jehovah (not Jesus). So the correct English translation for the name JHWH or Yahweh is Jehovah. We are to love your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. Instead, they hate his name! Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. Psalms 37:20 For the wicked themselves will perish, And the enemies of Jehovah will be like the preciousness of pastures. They must come to their end. In smoke they must come to their end. 2 Timothy 4:4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 2 Peter 2:1-2 1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2 Many will follow their evil teaching and shameful immorality. And because of these teachers, the way of truth will be slandered. READ BELOW ↓ But for the wicked who rejected Jesus' New Commandments and The Model Prayer and hate God's name and his people and who only worship the son, sports and holidays, their options are wide open. The wicked are annihilated-snuffed out of conscious existence forever. Biblically, however, hell is a real place of conscious, eternal suffering (Matt. 5:22; 25:41, 46; Jude 1:7; Rev. 14:11; 20:10, 14). I believe in what the Bible says. How about you? Since the wicked chose to be an enemy of God, they will defiantly be going to Hades or option A, B, C, D, E, F, etc. I have created a list of options that may help them decide before judgement time arrives, so they should plan in advance due to limited space. Maybe they will grant their request, but most likely they won't. But no sense in not trying! Below is a list of options for the wicked. A - Abyss B - Aionios C - Eternal Damnation D - Eternal Punishment E - Fiery Lake of Burning Sulfur F - Fire and Brimstone G - Gehenna H - Grave I - Hades J - Hell K - Inferno L - Limbo M - Lower World N - Pandemonium O - Pit P - Pyr Q - Shoel R - Tararus Their options are wide open, so they should choose carefully. Matthew 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Have a nice day!
