The one thing about London Grammar that really gets me down is how people keep comparing her voice to other female vocalists.. it's mad 'cos it's not even their fault! Her voice is TOTALLY unique. Note in this interview she mentions that and puts some positive spin on it... but I feel for her.. she should know that her voice really IS amazing and totally unique.

Couldn't agree more! When I first listened to London Grammar I was simply blown away by Hannah's incredible and unique vocal performance and that's what got me hooked right away. Of course, there are other amazing female vocalists like Florence and Lana, but that's where the similarities end: they're all great singers and songwriters but each in their own way.

She is the new kid on the block, so to speak. The next artist that comes along with a voice like Florence or Lana, Hannah's name will be there as well. It's a natural response to compare people anyway. Hannah's voice is unique and really, it is something special. She has the voice of a siren, it draws you in.

I don't contrast her but acknowledge her deserving of being counted among true greats. Joni Mitchell, Karen Carpenter, Ann Wilson

There is no one finer than Hannah Reid. I heard her voice before I saw her face, thinking she must be fit. Understatement of the Millennium. Three fantastic musicians. What a group.

@@matthewpeter4568 I know what you mean, but in a sense, an accent and the way someone talks are two different things
