One thing to think of with your batteries is that some types of batteries can only be discharged 50% of full charge or it will degrade the battery faster. Be sure to determine optimal battery discharge so you can maximize the life of the battery. I am not a farmer but I think robotic equipment is really nice to have. Just remember to save some money for replacement cost.

Looks fantastic. does anyone know: Which camera / sensor is used? RGB, multispectral, hyperspectral? Eeventuel the brand? I would be grateful for any answer

Alors ça a probablement bien évolué...

It needs a solar charger to keep the batteries charged as it works.

i dont think the power gain would be enough for the small robot, in addition the extra weight would make it less efficient. better to have a solar powered station with very large panels where it can exchange its battery. but of course this all adds extra cost. there are a millions things in the world that could be done 'better' for additional cost. its a balancing act.

It doesn't need a solar charger. If this is in France (I assume it is) then it plugs into something far more efficient and environmentally friendly than a solar panel. One of these babies: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4e/Nuclear_Power_Plant_Cattenom.jpg And while a self-charging feature would be nice, for now it's pretty clear that it needs at least some level of human supervision anyway, so that person might as well also change the battery...eliminating that chore isn't really a priority. It will probably be the last step in making it 100% autonomous (well, only necessitating human assistance for repairs).

Thats degenerative farming. Should have growing live mulch between rows to protect the microbes and keep water in. Basically no till.
