Phenomenal interview covering my favorite Steve Hackett album! I saw Steve and his band on the tour promoting the following album, Defector, and what Steve says in the interview is absolutely true, that there was a joy and camaraderie between the band members. Not only can you hear it on the album, but you could witness the energy and the humor live. When the band broke into "It's Now or Never" during their playing of "The Show," Nick Magnus did this hysterical instrumental part on a vocoder with a microphone. You had to be there, but these guys were very cool and funny. And II can still listen to the Spectral Mornings title track all day and night. Thank you, John!
