OMG. "Are you proud of yourself?" Would you ask that question of a man?

I think this question might hold a hint of mysogony. But it might not. I was curious of her answer, because of her age. She even says that she has stopped writing, preferring to spend time with other people. Writing, being an act of loneliness. Anyway, if she can just throw writing aside, or wants to, would it still make her proud? I think you jumped to a conclusion, and outrage, when there isn't a definite reason to.

and, pride is a feeling. he was really just asking her, if she felt pride.
