I am in 11th right now , and this year's applications are over , but next year i wanna apply for this i will be in 12th but what about the boards ?? Wouldn't it be a restriction?

Hi 😊 No worries The MEXT scholarship for undergraduate programs allows you to apply while in your 12th year. Your board exams won't be a restriction, but make sure you have your results ready before the application deadline. Hello Anuraj0188, I do not know if the documents are different for each place but I’ll list the ones I had: Main Application Assignments: - Health Information (I filled it in on the website) - Essay Questions (~3 in your native language and 1 in Japanese) - Placement Addendum - (Optional) Financial Aid Application - Passport Information (you must make sure your passport does not expire for 6 months after the duration of the exchange program) - (Optional) Pride Scholarship Application (lgbtq+ leadership or something) - Teacher Recommendation (you send an automated email through the website to the teacher you want the recommendation from. It says it takes 10 ~ 15 minutes to complete but I do not know if it’s a video or a document?) - Health Certificate (a form that your doctor has to fill out that describes general information, any health conditions, etc) - Academic History (a document that shows your current and past 2 years of grades for all the classes you took and a signature & school seal/stamp)

I applied this time for the 2023 ~ 2024 one so this information is recent. I recommend applying next year because (at least for the US) the main assignments are due tomorrow and interviews for finalists are coming up. Sorry if you missed it. For this year’s program, the end date is around December so the dates for 2024 ~ 2025 are still up in the air BUT I highly recommend you start looking at the main website for the Asia Kakehashi Program + weekly to know if the posted the next applications. I also recommend you or your parent email the AFS office in your country for updates/the exact website for the next program application openings. I hope the best for you. Sincerely Troy
