Such an amazing human being! To know he would marry his late wife again and would do the art he loves again shows he truly followed his correct path in life. Not many of us could say the same... This is a man I would love to meet, what an inspiration he is!

My hero from when I started Bonsai and I still count my blessings that in the late 1990ties I was able to spend an evening with him in at a Bonsai convention in Italie. He was very approachable and we all got a bit drunk! Years later we met again in Germany and he still remembered me...he is that nice a guy!!! 🙏 Cheers, Hans van Meer. KARAMOTTO BONSAI.

Beautifully done. A sensitive and evocative interview with one of the world's treasures in Bonsai. Thank you so much for this, as you have showed Master Kimura to be in the end... a Mortal, aging man. One who is, Proud of his legacy. Secure in the knowledge that his trees are indeed, Master-Works. Content in the heritage, history and future work of those he has trained so well. Outstanding!

To me, Kimura is the godfather of "modern" bonsai. He brought bonsai to a new level and opened it to the western world like no other. A true genius and inspirational.

To think Bonsai Master Pro like Suzuki, Urishibata & Fujikawa who have won the highest Bonsai awards in Japan have their sons train under Kimura, the show's how much Mr Kimura is so respected and want to learn from the best.
