Violin Virtuoso David Garrett has been hailed as one of the best violinists of his generation. The child prodigy had his first encounter with the violin at the age of four. By 10, he was gracing the stage, and by 13, he became the youngest-ever artist to sign with Deutsche Gramophone, the highly-regarded classical music record label.
Throughout his music career spanning decades, he has achieved many milestones. He has garnered international awards, sold millions of records, performed at prestigious events, and broke the Guinness World Record from 2008 to 2010 as the fastest violinist in the world. And the list goes on.
CGTN host Louisa Lee interviewed Garrett ten years ago, and 10 years later, the duo meet for a nostalgic chat in south China's Shenzhen City as part of his world tour for his new "Iconic" album. Garrett shares with Louisa about his dreams and desires, aims and ambitions, which have "music" written all over it.

Now that followers like me have the pleasure and honour, entertain you back, dear Chinese friends, well, you need to know, I played violin during the first four years of elementary school, it was only casual that the closest school near my parents home was a school of music and fine arts education, since I was a little girl, music became my best life matie and I trully wish all kids, enjoy a music education. My father bought a violin..for adults, I remember how I was so heavy, my teacher used to yell on me, cut it up playing violin with your knee...you know, like funny fidlers used to do...😂😂😂bad painful memories. My father loved to party, I have a bit his... cheerful kind of character... that's true. He used to get drunk in the pub and then...turn back home and beat us all... because he had to download his huge frustration on someone. When I was six years old, I had the idea that I have to play the violin in a pub, to make my father get drunk and beat my mother... therefore, happens to listen David performing and feel tears coming to my eyes, making me feel so good, all childhood most painful wounds heal so well, yeah, you can not imagine how much it means to me, sweet violin I never had the chance to play same well. It was a hell torture. But then you see, we are much stronger than it seems, we survive and we learn to get along

Did you see the last concerts hall, The Sphere in Las Vegas? Music used to move things since ancient ages, music is not exclusively for entertainment, not at all. Vivaldi was so smart to use music as best reason to organize business happenings, and his compositions are still so spectacular made in purpose to seduce the audience, then, the fact that he used orphan girls, saved from sexual predators and exploitation, made of his music so ...filled of colours, each instrument has another voice like multi species of flowers in a portpourri bouquet of a spectacular composition of so many surprising kind of vegetals, a pure Holy Creation friends, if you need to realize what I mean. Music is moving touristic business as well, music is the best medication for our human body, we all know by now, each one of our human feelings is creating a chemical reaction within our body, music is anti depression and regenerating, music is healthy, helping us forget any pain, frustration or despair...of being in Putin hands condemned to death with no hope because... that's true power guys, murder us all, are you kidding me? If you try to imagine the Bach ages when all powerful men were like Putin, European countries were involved in eternal war disputes and murder each other for a piece of land, for another frontier Gaza Strip supremacy, who is giving the orders and who must obey who and which one have to give up his life to let the powerful aristocrats feel more bossy and cannibals, it's always the same old story. At least we can say...let us work for you, dear war criminals, let's build up more music concert halls so you could have where to drop bombs and destroy everything, that's true power guys are you kidding me?

Classical music wanted to entertain...Royal Court entourage, a lot of classical composers such as Brahms Liszt or Carl Orff used folk melodies in symphonic version as best ...aristocrats entertainers, still today, the music sounds like an invitation, dear powerful men, try to be diplomatic and use kindness like music because...you might get ten times more power than you might ever imagine, seems... someone out there rewards those who believe in the music power, as you can notice, when huge crowds of milions of individuals get together for a concert singing all along... it's like dating God himself. The Jesus's story is very symbolic, but God is using all of us to reach his goals, which is... let's get back the human nature lost lately, like Confucius should say...what makes us feel humans in the end? Feeling just fine together with no matter who next to us, forget hatred hostilities greed or posession, forget envy or grudge, hunger for vengeance or murder, put them all worries behind and...feel humans because we can find the power to forgive and forget ..we can be better humans because we have.. music. I do not agree on David's theory that only ..two hundred years old violins are worthy. Besides musicians I love artists capable to build up worthy violins still today, I do not agree that Stradivari is ..dead skill that belongs to the past. The best piano manufacturing of Steinway & Sons are the prove, precious skills on manufacturing precious artifacts are possible to be saved because..they are much more precious that trying to posess Crimea because an Ukraine land and not Russian, war criminals are such pathetic losers, can you realize it? Music is eternal, the true Russia looks like Tchaikovsky imagined it, a golden mine asset that belongs the human specie heritage forever..a single political leader can not posess a whole country as ..a lifeless item, because it's a living thing. The Confucius power to unite so many Chinese tribes was his wisdom, a spiritual power that has nothing to do with violence and murder, it's about LIFE friends, if you can understand what I mean, think about it, we share such opinions now in purpose, think about it. David was so good to give me the best inspiration how to teach LOVE which is not exactly a porn movie... love is about feelings, there are milions of different things we love, yeah, something war criminals can not understand at all, therefore... show must go on friends, we have a war to carry on, teaching how loving life is more worthy than war disputes in order to murder us all. We can be very much alive... buried alive with no right to exist because...some criminal villains feel so worthless if not denying someone like me to live as she decides...to this point I did nothing but please those who hate me to death, big achievement huh?😢😢😢
