I’m glad Fran mentioned more Hollywood releases since it’ll be at least a year since we’ve had one. Going forward, I really do hope Radiance doesn’t just become a niche label as that was never the original message. Fran also mentioned there are so many forgotten gems from the VHS days, and there really are. Personally, I’d love to see more Todd Solondz and Robert Altman and some films by John Sayles that are unavailable on Blu-ray here in the U.K.

Would love to see if Indicator have picked up any Sayles from Sony as part of their last deal. There are several available from them including City of Hope, Passion Fish, Limbo, and Sunshine State...might be a bit too slight even for them though. More Altman would be great from Radiance - I'm hoping they can do The Player at some point, or maybe Fool for Love. Solondz would also be amazing, fingers crossed on that front.

@@bennoclassico Nice. Yeah, I believe City of Hope is releasing soon in the US on Blu-ray. Region A, though.

Love the work Fran does. That was an epic first year of releases and he shows no signs of letting up. I'm fine with just Blu-Ray when it's not financially feasible. I pre-ordered The Planet of The Vampires Blu-Ray instead of going for the German UHD. Sometimes i even double-dip like with Horrible Dr. Hichcock. I bought the Radiance release knowing Vinegar Syndrome would release a UHD. I bought both for the different special features. Also, the pricing of Radiance releases is absolutely fair, like with Indicator, compared to the Big C.

Nice chat! The mention of Greek Weird Wave is exciting, and I hope Fran succeeds in getting at least a couple of Greek films eventually. Incidentally I have just been reading the last issue of Little White Lies where there's an article on Greek cinema and several older titles are mentioned that could be of interest: The Shepherds of Calamity (1967, Dir. Nikos Papatakis), The Colours of Iris (1974, Dir. Nikos Panayotopoulos), Mania (1985, Dir. Giorgos Panousopoulos), Topos (1985, Dir. Antouanetta Angelidi), Angelos (1982, Dir. Giorgos Katakouzinos), and of course, Singapore Sling (1990, Dir. Nikos Nikolaidis). I know that last one was announced by Vinegar Syndrome recently, but would be great to see what you did with it.

I discovered Radiance a couple of months ago and I've bought 8 titles so far and each and everyone was surprisingly good. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next and do hope for a bit more of Hong Kong cinema but I'm open to every genre or country.

I love Radiance, even though I only find about 60-70% of their output to my taste (having said that I've bought 99% of their releases so far)
