Interview with Gerardo Nuñez - Part 1

Part 1:
This Interview was realised during the filming of the Flamencodocumentary digital duende in 2002. It finally was not included in the movie due to the fact that the focus in the movie was more on Flamencosinging. Nevertheless Gerardo says some interesting things about the situation of the young Flamencoguitarists in Spain and in general. Also he plays some really nice stuff.

"La gente no tiene tiempo para pensar y quiere cosas fáciles, espectáculo". ¡Qué cierto! Ojalá hubiera aún conciertos de guitarra. Sólo guitarra durante una hora u hora y media... Sin embargo ningún guitarrista de primer nivel lo hace ya. Sólo tocan una pieza y para el resto se arropan en un grupo. Un gran grupo con músicos fantásticos pero secundario para los auténticos amantes de la guitarra.

This guitar was made by Sabmar luthieres from Belgrade. It has beautiful sound. I've got two of their guitar, one of them is the model almost the same as this Gerardo's guitar, it's just great instrument!

Para mí está siempre presente es como yo ejemplo como guitarristas aprendiz de muchos años ya llevo escaparte de los sitios comunes donde te mueves es muy difícil y aunque agas tu propia pieza escapar de no sonar a Pacoooo oleeee de verdad que es imposible siempre gana no le quitemos lo bailo era ser humano se puso tal alto que llegó un momento que ni el podía superarse casi pero era un genio y realmente siempre tenía creaciones en su celebró 🎼🎼🎼🎼 genialidad 😉❤️ como dijo Manolo Sanlúcar encanta al que sabe de esto y vuelve 🤯lokoal que sabe

No comprendo cuando se habla de guitarra flamenca salen a relucir nombres como Vicente amigo y otros casi nunca se habla del genio de Gerardo Núñez hasta en el. Mismo jerez se le ignora muchas veces no he visto a ningún guitarrista actual tocar tan trasparente y difícil

No estoy de acuerdo y si en el sentido que nombra a Montoya Niño Ricardo Paco y tose y nombra a Manolo Sanlúcar y cuando se habla de guitarrinta el tío sabas y Paco de Lucía y ahora hay muchos Paquitos que creen que siempre fue así
